I recently spent the past month and a half researching possible cars, new and used. I visited several dealerships in the area of several different manufactures including Volvo, Infiniti, Audi, BMW, and M possible cars, new and used. I visited several dealerships in the area of several different manufactures including Volvo, Infiniti, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz but eventually decided to stay with Volvo. As I began my search for an AWD T6 S80 I considered the three RI area dealerships, Steingold, Barry's, and Tasca. At Tasca it was clear after about five minutes that the salesman knew nothing about Volvo's, plus they had nothing in stock that matched what I wanted, though he swore he did he just couldn't locate them. At Barry's I had a deal in place for a 2008 used Volvo until they tried to bump up the price almost $6,000 the day before I was to sign the paperwork and pick up the car. After much argument and fighting with everyone from the salesman to the owner of the dealership, with them eventually never returning my calls I left there unhappy. I decided to give Steingold a try as a last straw before buying an different manufacturers product and found that they were fantastic. Everything from the first minute I had walked in for the my test drive to when I decided to purchase a new 2010 model was fantastic. Mike helped me through every facet of the deal constantly took the time to explain everything. Although this is not surprising since Steingold is where my family has always gone for service on its other Volvo's. I would recommend Steingold to anyone even remotely considering a Volvo since in my experience they are miles and miles ahead of their RI competition. More
My 1998 V70 wouldn't start and was towed to Volvo dealer in Warwick/Cranston. Service said I needed a new fuel pump and it would cost $1800. I called Steingold and they said it would only cost $900. So I ha in Warwick/Cranston. Service said I needed a new fuel pump and it would cost $1800. I called Steingold and they said it would only cost $900. So I had it towed there. After they checked, it only needed a couple of gallons of gas. Has run fine for the last 10,000 miles. Cost me $99 for the diagnostic charge. More
