We had bought BMW X3 from Momentum BMW in 2018 and decided to buy Lexus RX 350 this time from Sterling McCall. I will compare our experiences below to explain why I consider the dealership experience decided to buy Lexus RX 350 this time from Sterling McCall. I will compare our experiences below to explain why I consider the dealership experience at Sterling McCall poor. First the good part- the Lexus salesman was professional and courteous in his dealings. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. We paid full MSRP for Lexus. The car we had built included all weather mats and for cargo and passengers but the car we received did not these items and the dealership never informed us. We caught this omission right before we were ready to drive out. The salesman acknowledged that and asked us to come back to dealership when these items are available rather than offer to ship those to us. Even though it was a goof up on dealership’s part, no attempt was made by the dealership to apologize for the inconvenience. Momentum BMW gave us small tokens of appreciation such as key fobs, a BMW car maintenance kit that included cleaning liquids, leather conditioner etc complimentary. They also gave us a BMW branded umbrella and an option to get a family photograph clicked with BMW upon appointment. They also added a few additional things such as window tinting and all weather mats as complimentary rather than give a cash discount. All this made for a pleasant car buying experience. In case of Sterling McCall, we did not even get key fobs - our keys were handed to us in a very cheap looking flimsy ring. There was absolutely nothing in terms of small gestures that Sterling McCall dealership did to make us feel good about buying Lexus. The general attitude was that we are doing you a favor by selling you our car. Overall, we are unlikely to give Sterling McCall repeat business because of our poor experience. More
My overall experience even with setbacks was a 10/10. Considering I had to bring my vehicle back to the service center a total of three times.
