Every automobile manufacturer that issues a warranty has some type of minimum maintenance that the owner is required to perform in order to keep the warranty valid. As a dealership we believe one of our commitments to our customers is to be an advocate for them. We review and document as objectively as possible all customer concerns to the manufacturer and try to always give the customer the benefit of the doubt. However, ultimately, in the case of warranty repair approvals, the final decision rests with the manufacturer. We are continuing to work with Kia in this case to try and find a better solution for this customer.”
