My car buying experience was several months long and I contacted approximately 20 different dealers (not just Subaru). Out of everyone that I spoke to, I chose to work with Stephan Sagbo at Stohlman Subaru because I felt he was personable, knowledgeable, and patient. He never once attempted to pressure me into buying a new car quickly. In fact, my experience with him was the opposite. During my many months of car shopping, he occasionally called or emailed me to see if I had any questions about Subaru, Stohlman, or his vehicles. When I settled on buying the Subaru Impreza, I prepared myself for a long drawn out negotiating experience. Again, Stephan Sagbo broke my mold of a car salesman, as negotiating was painless and very quick. His hands-on but laid back style must be working. Not only did he earn my business and respect, Stephan Sagbo was the top salesman at Stohlman Subaru for 7 out of the 12 months in 2012. I highly recommend Stephan Sagbo and Stohlman Subaru. More

Our experience at this dealership in our latest purchase was great. We appreciated how laid back and low pressure Thomas was. When I was more decided about wanting to buy the car, I came to the dealership and discussed/finished the deal with Stephan and it was a great buying experience... He worked very hard to locate a car that had every feature I wanted and the color I wanted, etc. And he found it. I was also pleased with the price I got and the trade-in value I got for my 2009 Camry. I also appreciate that after finishing the deal, Stephan took considerable time to show me some of the car's features (Bluetooth, controls, etc )which was really helpful and saved me a lot of time trying to figure it all out from the manual. Christina processed my loan and paperwork for the purchase and was also very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. For both Christina and Stephan, I appreciated very much the low-key approach, no hard-selling of packages or extras that I was not interested in. I just got the information I needed to make my decisions, no pressure. I mentioned Richard because he was in the showroom and monitoring progress with my trade-in evaluation. I appreciated that he (really everyone I met there) was attentive, even when things were very busy, to make sure I was being helped, as Stephan had another customer he was working with when I arrived. Stohlman's is a great dealership, great company culture there. More

I'm currently under a very tight timeline with certain family issues, which I explained to Rich Hanna when I first entered the dealership. Based on a USAA-quoted price that I received via email by David Jennings, I even put down a deposit that very night, without seeing or test-driving the actual car. This was the level of responsiveness and trust that I needed at that time, and I've been very pleased with the outcome. I implicitly trust the brand, and also the Stohlman employees that I interacted with. They were aware of my needs, and they very professionally made the purchasing experience quick, efficient, and painless. David Jennings was especially well-attuned to the situation, and covered everything that needed to be covered, in a very thorough manner, but without excess. I especially like the way he adjusted himself to my needs at the time, and I came away very satisfied with the experience. The business manager was also very thorough, and we consummated the transaction probably in a fraction of what I would have experienced elsewhere. I also noticed that at another sales desk, a customer was going on and on about his vacation cabin, his workplace, politics, etc., and the salesperson was being very patient and understanding with him. This is a critical sales skill - to be able to adjust to the needs of the customer, and make him/her feel comfortable. This is what David excelled at with me. I feel that I got the best deal that I could with this Impreza model, but even if I didn't feel that way, I would come back to Stohlman so I could look back at the experience with this level of satisfaction. It was a very different and positive experience from other car dealerships.
