Having decided on a VW, I wasn't sure which model would best meet my needs - low enough for dogs (including an aging beagle), turbo for beltway, & fun to drive. We test-drove the Tiguan, the Golf, & the Golf Sportwagen; Alan asked key questions to identify my priorities, & greatly assisted in the decision-making process. By the time I drove the Sportwagen, I knew that was the car/model I wanted. Alan advised me of VW's new trim - the Limited Edition - with valuable safety features. My decision was made, but there were none in stock. Alan Soon offered to do his best to locate whatever trim/color I wanted, and he did so. Stohlman's trade-in value was fair, & the entire transaction went more smoothly than I anticipated. When my car arrived, Alan made a point of going over it's many features, including car-net, assuring me that he would answer any subsequent questions that arose. He also introduced me to a Service Advisor for future maintenance needs - excellent continuity! I highly recommend Alan Soon: Customer Service is his highest priority. I went in one night for a quick test drive to see if I really wanted a Subaru and was debating between the Impreza and CrossTrek. Chris asked me a few things about myself and talked to me about both cars. Then, I was off test driving a CrossTrek. In just 1 hour, with the test drive, we had a verbal agreement on a vehicle price with options. All Chris had to do was locate one. This took a few days. It had everything I wanted and no haggling or changing on the price when I came to pick it up a few days later. Smooth, fair, quick and most importantly an enjoyable experience. Chris was great. And I love my new CrossTrek. More

Terrible Customer Service This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. First, they scheduled an evening meeting for new car owners. They changed the date without letting any of the customers know. Then, I locked my fob in the back of my Outback - called their service department and was told to call Road Assistance. Actually, if they knew anything about their own cars they would have told me to try the rear door manually. I desperation, I tried that and it worked. They don't know their own product. Lastly, we took our car in for service and after found someone else's car documentation in our car. Who knows who has our paperwork. Today I received a voice mail asking me to call and talk about my experience at Stohlmans. When I called back, they acted like they never heard of me. They kept asking me if I wanted to schedule service. The dealership is terrible and I will never buy from them again, although I will buy another Subaru. More

I have been looking for the last 3 months to buy a new car. I received various phone calls and emails but I was more inclined to go back to Stohlman. I went two times to decide on what car was the right fit for me. My children always tell me that I'm a pretty complicated person when it comes to buying new things, I seldom like change. However, Mr. Christopher La Porte was very friendly, and extremely patient as he tried to fulfill all of my requests to the best of his ability. He made the stressful experience that is buying a new car great. I will definitely recommend Stohlman to my family and friends. Thank you to Eli Mel too. More

We agreed on a time for me to come by (I was late but Chris was gracious.) and he had the car pulled up front waiting for me. He quoted me a price that was a little bit higher than one of the other dealers but immediately agreed to match it without any haggling. What a change from my first car buying experience! He answered all my stream of consciousness questions without missing a beat. More
