I did research on all the dealers at this site and on LinkedIn. Stohlman came out on top. I decided to go straight to the top and called Trent Norris, New Car Sales Manager. We had an excellent conversation. He did a system-wide search for the exact car I wanted. When we couldn't find it, he set me up with the car I bought. In the end, I am so happy with that car. Trent assigned Alan Soon to help me through the process. Alan is brilliant man. He warm, friendly, and incredibly honest. I experienced ZERO pressure from Stohlman and Mr. Soon. I was presented with the best deal they could give me. My wife and decided to go with Stohlman. The process was thorough and enjoyable. Peter Kim handled the finance. He wasn't pushy -- at all. He presented both finance and extended warranty options. He didn't push us to decide one way or the other. He had a consultative approach to financing. Afterwards my remarked "that was the easiest car purchase ever." It truly was. Finally, we had a great tour of the dealership. We met Jack Smith, Service Advisor and Mk VII GTI owner. What a great guy. Friendly and fun. Stohlman represents what an ideal dealership is all about: ethical business practices and genuine interest in providing a terrific environment for their customers. I visited Stolhman Tysons three times before we closed a deal, which took no more than 15 minutes. Our sales person, Al Shibly, was low key (a rare trait among auto salesmen-- and much appreciated) informative, and didn't try to snow us. We went to four Subaru dealers: none were high pressure and no one hijacked us in the parking lot, but Stohlman Tysons (which has two Subaru dealerships about 10 miles apart) offered the best deal. While test-driving an Outback Limited, Al had our 2010 Prius (a wonderful car) appraised. It came back $1000 below the Car Max estimate. We had already agreed on a price, so Stolhman matched CarMax, and we were done (except for the interminable sales paperwork, which takes an hour or more wherever you buy a car). This is our third Outback (1982: rode like a tank and was just as tough; and 2000: smooth, but some engine issues). This one promises to be outstanding... and actually luxurious! The number of practical safety features on the vehicle cannot be matched. More
