When we were debating whether we would like to trade-in our 2014 Subaru for a new one and my wife's desire to go back to getting again a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Neils made the decision for us quite easy by explaining and showing us the nice features of the 2016 Subaru. From the time, we were endorsed to Neils up to the time when we tested our brand new 2016 Subaru, Neils was so accommodating to our numerous questions. As senior citizens, I admittedly told Neils, we are not into reading those thick handbooks about the car, we want hands-on training. So Neils made sure that all our concerns were addressed and that he made sure that we were comfortable with the many nice features of our new car. When he rode with us to show how the Subaru handles road conditions when on cruise control, we truly confirmed that Neils is one of the best, if not the best, in customer service satisfaction. Neils even assured us to give him a call if I have any concerns or questions about the car and he will be more than happy to address them. Neils is a great asset to Stohlman. P.S.: We hope that in the future, Subaru will change the "automatic locking" feature. That is the only complaint my wife have, she said the Jeep Grand Cherokee automatic locks the door once you start driving the car, not with the Subaru where you have to manually do it. More

I wanted to get one in December and had ordered it in October. But the system showed end of January arrival (I guess Subaru can't make them fast enough). Then Randall called me on December 27 to tell me that a Forester with most of the options of my choice (and some extra options that I did not really need) arrived. We decided to take it and my wife can't be happier with our decision. Also want to thank Carroll Prince who handled the paperwork because Randall was out on delivery day. I can't say that Chris La Porte walks on water, so I won’t. I have delayed buying a new car for well over a decade and a half. Every several years, I’d try it. The pain would be so overwhelming that I would just quit looking. It was a good thing that my 1994 Toyota Camry was built like a tank! This year I narrowed down to a 2016 Honda Accord and a 2016 Subaru Legacy Premium. My wife gave the thumbs up to the Subaru Legacy Premium and I seconded the motion. It was the Subaru Legacy Premium by a mile. I won’t make a long story of this so I’ll only say the following: Chris La Porte does not walk on water! But he does the next best thing. He deals honestly, he’s competent and knowledgeable. He doesn’t pressure or push anyone, guides one gently to the right cars as he senses one’s needs, making the car buying experience relatively effortless. Chris got me precisely the car I needed, no more no less. He found it and got what we wanted within a short time. As to pricing, we had gotten some aggressive prices on several car makes including the Honda Accord and the Subaru Legacy. On the whole, Chris’ involvement resulted in an acceptable price for the Legacy Premium we were looking for. Chris really works at it! I will certainly recommend Chris to my friends! Stohlman Automotive at Tyson’s should be commended for its having such salesmen as Chris, which reflects upon itself, as to dealing honestly and competitively. One more word about Chris La Porte, I’m not sure that he did not give us a shot of Novocain to make our car buying experience a painless affair, but then again, maybe he did! He was always prompt and thorough in answering my phone calls and texts as I was coordinating my insurance and financing. After I purchased the vehicle, Chris spent a lot of time explaining all of the features of the Crosstrek, and walked me through the service department to introduce me to the service team. Even if my Legacy turns out to be a lemon (I'm sure it won't), I would still recommend David to my friends. David helped with my test drive, and his approach was friendly, informative, and low pressure. He didn't give me any of the usual BS about a price only being good for the next 20 minutes, or anything else to push me into buying a car before I was ready. After my visit he stayed in touch via email, and checked to make sure he wasn't being too pushy or too distant. Perfect! I worked with CarBargains to get bids from area dealerships, and even though Stohlman's in Tysons didn't bid, they did match the bid from Stohlman's in Herndon. So I got a great price at the location most convenient to where I live. David Jennings was great, and I really feel like his approach represents Subaru in general, not just David. I've never owned a Subaru before, and they have already earned more loyalty from me than any other brand I've bought in the past (Toyota, Honda, BMW, Lexus, Ford, Audi). More
