We were interested in a VW having owned a Passat for over 10 years and a '71 Karmann Ghia for longer than that...My wife liked the '13 Jetta TDI advertised on the Internet and we met Yaw Pepra and later his 10 years and a '71 Karmann Ghia for longer than that...My wife liked the '13 Jetta TDI advertised on the Internet and we met Yaw Pepra and later his manager who were both very professional, courteous and customer focused. Their intent to inform us of the vehicle, its history and financial possibilities, rather than pressure a sale was very much appreciated. The worked with us at our own pace. Our sales person, Yaw Pepra was exceptional in all regards, as was his manager. We next met Hesham Kamal for processing a loan via VW. He too was exceptional in handling our sales business expeditiously and with high professional courtesy. We are very pleased with our pre-owned 2013 VW Jetta TDI purchase and will highly recommend the dealership, as well as all of the professionals we worked with while we conducted business. Great team! Javan took real good care of us throughout the entire process - from my first contact by way of Stohlman's on-line IM chat feature and continuing the IM conversation about the vehicle I was interested in process - from my first contact by way of Stohlman's on-line IM chat feature and continuing the IM conversation about the vehicle I was interested in before my visit. Our test drive was wonderful because Javan allowed me to experience the Touareg on the test drive without a sales pitch. Most importantly, I never felt pressured to purchase the Touareg at any time during my visits to the dealership. Javan took extra time after we finished up in the business office to explain every feature of the Touareg, as well as linking both my phone and my wife's phone to the Touareg's blue tooth! He demonstrated all the patience in the world for our many detailed questions about the features of the Touareg, staying well past the dealership's closing time on Sunday. All in all, I would say the Stohlman experience exceeded our expectations because of Javan's knowledge and expertise with the vehicle, his passion for the VW brand, and his warm, personable approach and professional demeanor. From the moment we entered the Subaru dealership, Anson welcomed us with a warm smile and asked if we needed any assistance. He made sure to check that we understood everything there was in the every model, so we were sure when we made our final decision. He answered all of our questions fully, and was very friendly and welcoming. At the end of the process, he was clear and concise with all of the paperwork, walked us through each of the manuals, and how to connect an iPod or use Bluetooth in our car. Overall, we very much enjoyed the process of buying our car through Anson, and it couldn't have been better! Thank you so much, Anson! More

I came into Stohlman with a vehicle in mind, and after showing "TJ" the car I wanted he wasted little time getting me into it, after driving it around for a while and talking with TJ he let me know that all vehicles at Stohlman are of trade-in background and have all of their vehicle histories, I was convinced and felt secure of my purchase, I simply had to have the car. I sat down at TJ's desk and having had to file bankruptcy once before it destroyed our credit and even though we definitely had the means to pay the car, it was difficult to get a bank to allow us to finance; this halted nothing though TJ worked at it with the finance department and they explored many different options to make sure I'd be heading home happy in my new car. There was a minor wait but it was completely worth it, the Stohlman staff worked hard for me the customer and I am now gawking happily at my shiny new 'wheels' sitting in my driveway, my experience with Stohlman was phenomenal and I would absolutely recommend my friends, co-workers, heck even the cashier at my favorite pizza place to Stohlman if they are looking to have a shiny new voluptuous set of wheels in thier drive-way so they may gawk in happiness as well. I have to say that Stohlman Subaru, and Stephan Sagbo in particular, were both great to do business with. My family and I live in the mountains and we often need four-wheel drive to get out of the driveway particular, were both great to do business with. Thus, over the last 35 years, my family has owned several Subarus, though the new Subaru I bought from Stohlman Subaru was my first Subaru (though not my first new car). So, I am biased towards Subarus, but neither my family nor I had ever purchased a car from Stohlman Subaru before, because we don't live in the Washington DC greater Metro area. My first contact with Stephan was in December, when I started looking all over the state for the model Subaru I wanted as well as the particular transmission I desired. From the beginning, Stohlman had the best inventory as well as the best price of any dealership I contacted. From the beginning, I could tell Stephan wanted my business. He showed interest in getting me what I wanted and was timely in his responses. Since I didn't live near Stohlman, I shopped around at closer dealerships, but not only was the selection not comparable, nobody seemed to want my business as much as he did. I either found Subaru salesmen who were disinterested in my business or they were too pushy. In contrast, Stepan seemed always professional and repeatedly asked what he could do to earn my business, as well as was willing to work with me extensively over email. So, I agreed to buy a Subaru from Stohlman if he would include a couple extras, and to my surprise, without any haggling, he agreed. Not only was the price from Stohlman great, but the extras more than made it worth it for me to drive over six hours round-trip to Stohlman Subaru in Vienna to purchase my new Subaru. When I got there, Stephan was extremely courteous, very professional, and friendly. I test drove my Subaru to make sure it drove like I expected, signed the paperwork, and left. Over all, I would definitely do business with Stepan Sagbo again. He was courteous, professional, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was satisfied. A couple things: 1. I noticed another reviewer complaining about how busy Stephan was. That was true. Given that I had made a down payment on my Subaru before it arrived at the lot and had let Stephan know I was coming a couple days in advance, I had expected it to be washed and ready for me when I arrived. As it was, my family and I had to wait about 45 minutes after we got there before it was washed and ready for us to test drive. However, I will cut him a lot of slack, as it was Saturday when I arrived and he did appear to be constantly running around taking care of a lot of things. Plus, if you want a dealership where you will be waited on like you are the only person there (quite probably because you are the only person there), Stohlman is probably not the dealership for you. These guys are the largest dealership in the mid-Atlantic, and they move a lot of Subarus (I think at least four other Subarus were sold during the three hours we were there). So, although I would have liked for them to be a little more ready when I got there, I still feel that it was an overall great experience. 2. Don't be disuaded by Stephan's accent. He has a soft voice and a west African accent, so the first time I spoke to him on the phone, I had a lot of trouble understanding him. But, he is easy to communicate with via email, and when I spoke to him in person, I had no trouble understanding him either. So, don't be disuaded by the accent if you talk to him on the phone. In summary: a good guy, the way car salesmen should be, and someone I would consider doing business with again (even though I live over 3 hours one-way from Stohlman Subaru). More

Fantastic experience with the purchase of our 2014 Subaru xv crosstrek hybrid. Sean, Ryan, Ryc and Carroll were all excellent and no high pressure sale. We wanted a plasma green hybrid touring crosstek whi xv crosstrek hybrid. Sean, Ryan, Ryc and Carroll were all excellent and no high pressure sale. We wanted a plasma green hybrid touring crosstek which Subaru only produced a few hundred. Ryan was able to find the only one in the area at another Subaru dealership and had it transferred. We were very surprised to see the price of the crosstek was below the MSRP. The actual sale only took 45 minutes and was very enjoyable. Great sales team and no high pressure sales. More
