Awesome buying experience at Stokes Honda Beaufort!. A very hard lesson learnt buying an as is no warranty vehicle from Stokes Honda. Less than 12 hours after the purchase the check engine light came on, hand brake broke, light switch fell off and I fou vehicle from Stokes Honda. Less than 12 hours after the purchase the check engine light came on, hand brake broke, light switch fell off and I found the car shakes badly over 60 mph. Called Stokes Honda and was given the name of a mechanic which i took the car to, $500 later the vehicle is still not fixed. Contacted Stokes Honda but i was not fortunate enough or important enough to get any assistance just a bunch of back and forth emails not helping at all, the vehicle only cost $6,000 so i guess it wasn't worth their while to help. I now have to get extra work done on the car and the price quoted is just under $1,000 with no promises that this will fix the problem either. We are a military family and cannot afford these kind of repairs so i guess this was a HUGE learning experience of what not to do going forward......what is really sad is that the last car we bought was close to $20,000 from them so I thought they would at least help out in some way seeing we were a return customer...i can see now that this was just wishful thinking on my behalf. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING A VEHICLE THAT STATES AS IS - NO WARRANTY as I WOULD HATE ANYONE TO BE IN THE POSITION I AM IN NOW. I am embarrassed to have been so easily sold and even madder at myself for venturing into this purchase, I thought I was smarter than that but I guess not as I now have a vehicle I purchased around a month ago from stokes honda with many problems and i can't even afford to fix it. My husband and I had just arrived to the states from a 3 year overseas tour.
