However, Stone Mountain did not have the exact color combo we wanted, so they needed to transfer it from another dealership. They quickly located the vehicle we wanted, showed us the spec sheet, where the car was coming from and told us it would be at their dealership ready for pick-up in 4 days. So...I gave them the $2,000 deposit to move the vehicle. That's when it all fell apart. I got a call 3 days later advising me that the car they'd shown me actually had 1,800 miles, so they were working to locate another one. Woah! What? You didn't check that when you sold me the car? And it took you 3 days to find out? Next they tell me that when we originally made the deal there were 2 other cars but they've now both sold...those are no longer options...imagine if it hadn't taken 3 days to find out about the mileage, perhaps they would've still been available? They told me that now the only car in that color combo in the entire country was in Hawaii, and (understandably) they couldn't move that car. So, they offer me the same car in a different color. BUT they now want me to pay $500 more for the car since it's going to cost them more to relocate it from a farther distance. They weren't willing to eat that cost despite admitting that the mistake was theirs. Wrap your head around that: we agreed on a deal fair and square, I gave them a $2k deposit, they failed to hold up their end of the contract, they admit their mistake (after 3 days) and then they expect me to pay $500 more for a color that was second on our list? At this point it started to feel like the twilight zone and I should've run...but after another in-person meeting with Tamimi and David Schilpp, I decided to give them another chance (even at the higher price). David advised me that they had located an additional 4 cars in our second color choice and that he'd work to secure one of them. I told him that he needed to have it secured and he needed to communicate that with me no later than noon the next day (this was now day #5); he agreed. Guess what? No call, no text, no email from anyone at the dealership by noon the next day. I called them at 10 minutes after noon and David said that 3 of the 4 cars had sold (since last night? really?) and they were still trying to verify the mileage on the 4th car. How long does it take to verify availability and mileage of a car? I've cold called dealerships and gotten that info within 5 minutes... I told David that after 5 days and many missed opportunities, I no longer had any faith that his team could successfully execute this deal and to process my $2k refund. He agreed and actually seemed relieved. He called me back an hour later to advise that they'd lost the paperwork from my deposit (Bad News Bears anyone?), so I'd need to provide my full CC info again so that they could issue the refund. The refund was ultimately processed promptly. Tamimi was apologetic and legitimately seemed upset by how this transaction had played out...but never in my in-person meetings with David or on any of the phone calls, did David ever apologize or try to assure me that they could correct the issue. So, 6 days after I'd signed the contract with Stone Mountain and 2 days after I should've taken possession, I was able to locate the exact vehicle at VW of Athens. It was an extremely pleasant experience and I ended up with a better drive out price. I know Stone Mountain generally has a good reputation (this actually would've been the 2nd car I purchased there which makes it all the more frustrating) and I know they'll respond to my review with their experience. If you do make a deal with Stone Mountain, for your protection please double check everything and continue to babysit them throughout the process. More

Even though there were a lot of restrictions as a foreigner, he tried his best for me and suggested new and better deals. Despite of being late night around 12am, he smiled to help us carefully. And I could feel that he truly loves his job! So, I strongly recommend this dealership! More

Classic bait and switch tactics, Buyer Beware! I have purchased two cars in the last 18 months one of which was a VW TDI that I received a buyback offer on which is why I am looking to replace it b I have purchased two cars in the last 18 months one of which was a VW TDI that I received a buyback offer on which is why I am looking to replace it but not with any sense of urgency because I have until 2018 and the value doesn't depreciate. In both of those transactions I have been able to get an "out-the-door" price quote so there were no surprises especially since I was driving one to two hours away. I've been in contact with Irnes Masic for several weeks, however, he states, "Due to the aggressive market that we are in we can not give 'out-the-door' pricing on any vehicle over e-mail or phone call, this is something that our dealership does not practice." He assured me that they will honor TrueCar Estimates as well as beat competitor quotes by $500. I live over an hour drive away, I was reluctant to go out but I decided to give them a try. I had intentions on purchasing a car and if the numbers changed on me (which it did) at least I would be able to test drive the car. After the test drive, I decided to go forward with the negotiation and, sure enough, they would only give me the discounted price if I secured financing with their dealership or 3rd party which he had not told me from the start. I had already secured financing with my credit union at 1.49% and planned on paying it off after I sold my TDI back. Their financing does not allow you to pay off early and I was assured that I could not get as low as 1.49% even with an 800+ credit score (they never did tell me what the best rate is for most qualified customers probably because that too is negotiable to maximize their profits). They will try to sell you nitrogen (air) in your tires for $99 and window trim or etching for $299. This is basically padding the price because the dealer adds these after delivery with a ridiculous markup. I advise anyone to refuse these because they are of no value. I can adjust my tire pressure when the seasons change and save a hundred dollars thank you. I really got aggravated when David "the closer" came out to put the pressure on and insulted my intelligence by stating that I could never get a better deal elsewhere meanwhile I had to bring them a competitor offer to beat (albeit the vehicle I was looking for was not in stock). He tried to make me feel like it was urgent because the VW Loyalty offer expires at the end of the month. I am not stupid, I am sure corporate will continue this offer to try to win back the hundreds of thousands of owners who are selling their cars back. I finally had to walk away because of the sick feeling you get in your gut when someone is trying to work you over. Stay away from this dealership and be sure to get an offer in writing before wasting your time and that goes for any dealership. More
