We have two teens near driving age. We've been eyeing different options to add another family car. My son, excited about body kit options, has been bombarding me with Volkswagen photo We've been eyeing different options to add another family car. I was reluctant to consider VW, but after hearing all the Strong ads relating to warranties, I thought, ok - this brand is really working to rebuild their image and this could be an option. My opinion, however, again did a 180 after driving my niece's Strong purchased Volkswagen. Her vehicle has the most dangerous tint job I have ever seen. When another cars headlights hit, all you can see is blurring and blind spots. When she purchased her used VW, she didn't know how to drive a stick and so the salesperson drove for her. Obviously that was a mistake because once she started driving on her own, she realized the window tint is a death trap. You cannot see anything in your side view or rearview as a result. I was almost run off the road by a truck, even after doing a mirror and head check - because the tint is impossible to see through. When I spoke to my niece about how dangerous her car is and that she should contact the dealer, because how was it even street legal to be sold? She told me she contacted Strong and was told too bad. If a company with all the detailing connections and resources to make it very low cost, cannot do right by a teenage girl and remove this deadly window tint as a courtesy, how am I supposed to believe in them as a company for something major like a transmission failure? There are times in life where you do the right thing, not because you legally have to, but because it's right. This should have been one of those times and Strong failed miserably. More
