Buyer beware - Reviews can be deceiving! We bought with Strong in October of 2019. At the time, we felt we were getting good service, but we had 4 issues that kept us from a 5 star rating. At the time, we felt we were getting good service, but we had 4 issues that kept us from a 5 star rating. 1) We were offered a tank of gas for a 5 star rating on dealer rater. We didn't actually receive that until our 10,000 mile service eight months after our purchase and only after we complained of the bad service here on dealer rater 2) Absolutely zero follow up. Literally did not hear from anyone at Strong until we filed a bad review with Dealer Rater 3) Pressure tactics in the finance department. We were pushed to get gap insurance.. hard. It was actually something we already had but didn't realize. It would have been professional and courteous to ask us if to check if this something we already have and make it easy to remove if we do. We still haven't heard back from their finance dept on how to cancel. 4) We were forced to purchase the absolute top of the line Atlas to get the one feature we absolutely needed (second row captain chairs). We subsequently found out that these would have been available if we would have searched around local VW dealers, but that Strong does not do local dealer trades ("it's just bad business" was their excuse), so this was our only option. It cost us an extra $10,000 that we didn't want to spend. I would have expected an effort to get what we really needed and save us money if we could instead of a "if you leave the lot you won't get this deal again" type of experience. We initially changed our review from 5 star to 3.5star because of these issues. We felt 5 star was above and beyond expectations and we expect those 4 issues to be taken care of. It was then when we received the worst customer service we have ever had. As you can see from this thread, Strong VW asked us to contact them. We called Chase several times and left a message. Nothing. We then lowered our rating.to 2.25 stars. We received another request for contact. We called Chase several times and left a message. Nothing. We then used the chat feature on Strong's website to ask for contact. Days later.. FINALLY a call from Chase, their sales manager called me. He apologized, at least, then gave us his excuses for the months without contact and the bullet points above. I wasn't mad to start with, but with MONTHS of no contact after they requested a chat, his response was "What are you trying to get out of all of this?" I have never been so livid at a customer contact! I wasn't requesting a conversation, just giving them an opportunity to respond to my rating. After steaming for a day I sent off an e-mail to them in response and, not shockingly, haven't heard a peep from them since. The Atlas is solid.. though we've had some backup sensor issues we need to look at. But the quality of the vehicle seems great so far and we really like it for our family! The dealership, however.... wow. Just avoid at all costs, I would recommend. More
