Strong VW only cares for your $, and never for the customer. I revised my google review to tell the truth, not what I was coerced into submitting. In February 2019 we went to Dave Strong VW with the intent to purchase a Tiguan. After some haggling they convinced us to lease one instead of purchasing (BIG MISTAKE!) and we went on our way. 8 months later we are realizing that the Tiguan is just too small for our growing family so we decided to go back to Dave Strong to see about trading up to an Atlas. After waiting for some time, and trying several times to get some sales attention, we finally met with our original salesperson, Matt, explained the situation and what our end goal was. He acted as if we were a huge bother, gave our information a cursory glance, and came back with monthly payments off the top of his head for the Atlas that were much higher than we expected it would be. It was at this point in time that we discovered that, due to the leasing agreement he scammed us into signing earlier this year, we actually owed more on the car than the original sales agreement had showed, if we had just purchased the car outright. A $900/mo payment for a car that isn't much more than we originally paid is just robbery. I get the feeling Matt didn't care about making another sale to a previous customer and just wanted us gone. In the end, we went to Karl Malone, terminated our VW lease, and got a Highlander with better options than the Atlas for over $200/mo less than Matt quoted us. Our overall experience with Matt/Strong Volkswagen is this: Once you're out the door, you're on your own, and don't you dare expect any kind of follow up for the $ you just threw down a hole at them. In my case, $16k for a lesson learned. I now advocate that people purchase a vehicle anywhere but Strong VW. They'll take your money and then treat you like trash for expecting them to actually be the kind of company they advertise that they are. Regarding Dave Strong's VIP and "warranty" program: Before leaving the store they require you to: record a video saying how happy you are with them and post a review about how wonderful they are. They also make you sign an agreement stating that if you ever leave a negative review, they will cancel your VIP membership. What a joke, threatening customers before they even leave the store. I won't be back to Strong VW, so I have no problem stating that their VIP program is a waste. They have very poor after sales support, their VIP program is confusing, and their service agents are rude and condescending to people who don't know how the program works and who are returning for their first after-sales service appointment. Expect no help from your sales person to navigate the confusion and people sitting around doing nothing at all. They have no follow up to scheduled appointments or factory recalls. Save your money and shop for a new vehicle anywhere but Strong VW. You'll be happier with in the long run and deal with people who actually treat and value you as a return customer, not just a one time cash grab that is forgotten as soon as the $ is spent. Shame on you Strong VW for scamming people as you do! Your advertised reputation is false, I hope more people read this and it costs Strong business! More
