Ted, I received a call from Mark stating that you will reduce the repair amount being $3K to $2,550 or 15% which is a slap in the face. This is an isolated issue as to an engine seal failing at approx. 107K miles. This vehicle is well maintained through your dealership with "no" signs of being maintained improperly. This is a Subaru, and they promote "reliability" and many are still on the road well over 9 years old with excess of 100K miles. Why does Mark state that it has 107K miles but the failure to an engine seal is not common!! You need to further negotiate the repair amount for most of the amount to repair the vehicle is based on your 200/hr labor rate. Subaru or the dealer which I purchased all of my Subarus need to back up their product and step up to a loyal Subaru customer. According to Subaru 107K miles on a vehicle being 9 years old is not at all excessive!!!
