They were very generous with their offer for my trade in, and worked extra hard to get me approved for a loan. I'm quite pleased to say the least. More

I am thoroughly disgusted with my recent experience that occurred today. Everything is fine and dandy with their service department, until it's not. In the last few months, I have had a whole series of things go wrong with my car, none of which should have occurred on a vehicle that is only two years old, but that is not even the issue. When I brought the car in and left it for a long period of time recently, they failed to replace a burnt out fuse that is connected to the charger in the console between the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. Inconvenient, particularly as I live an hour away, but not terrible, right? But after that fuse was replaced and I drove away, I realized, as I was almost home, that the passenger window was no longer operational. When I glanced at the clock to see if the dealership was still open, I realized that the clock and temperature indicator were also not working. Next up, I discovered while driving at night, in the rain, that the entire a/c and heating system wasn't working, which was rather unnerving, as that meant that I couldn't defog the windshield on the inside, so I couldn't see where I was going. As I don't live nearby, I sent an e-mail to the service department, cc'ing the head of the service department, outlining my concerns, and saying that I needed to come back again to get these things fixed, and would like to discuss remuneration for my ongoing inconvenience at that time. A week went by with no response. So I resent the e-mail, this time cc'ing the head of the dealership. I heard back from the head of the service department who told me to bring the vehicle back, and as I was going to be within forty minutes of the dealership the next day, I did. After arriving at the dealership and putting the car in for service, I introduced myself to the head of the service department and said that I would like to speak with him after the car was fixed about possible remuneration. His response was that a.) That wasn't going to happen, and b.) "All of the fuses were in the wrong place." "If they are all in the wrong place" I said, "then your repair guys must have put them there." At which point he basically called me a liar and said that his workmen wouldn't ever have put them back that way, as 'Everything was in the wrong place.'" First of all, I don't even know where the fuses are located in my car, and second, no one else has been near the car for repairs other than the dealership. That is why I bought a two year extended warranty! The idea that i would somehow try to mislead him was so ludicrous that I was left practically speechless. Before I could pick my jaw off the floor, he walked away. I have never been so flabbergasted by a "Customer Service" person in my life. I repeat "DO NOT GO HERE!" More

Went back the next day to question the service was met with the service tech who took the attitude of who was i to question his work. Well after several minutes of heated discussion we got the car on the lift and went thru all the work i had done. 1100 dollars worth! This persons attitude towards a CUSTOMER should not be tolerated by any company who deals in customer service!!! More

This was my first car buying experience and I asked a lot of questions and test drove a lot of cars for two months before deciding on what I wanted. Mike answered ALL my question as well as my parents questions without hesitation and for those tough questions he couldn't answer he found the person who could. He even text me answers to questions I had after I left the dealership! He added that personal touch that always makes that atmosphere more friendly. He went above & beyond what I expected a salesman would do as well as "Make that Deal "happen so I can afford that dream SUV in my price range. More
Waste Of Money/ DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE My name is Vadim Shpolyansky and I am writing this to inform you fellow Subaru owners to stay away from Subaru of Newton in Newton, Nj. If you care My name is Vadim Shpolyansky and I am writing this to inform you fellow Subaru owners to stay away from Subaru of Newton in Newton, Nj. If you care about your car, honest, and money then this story impacts you and your daily life. Let me start from the beginning, I was sold my car three years ago, excited about owning a Subaru because I have a family and safety is very important to me. Thinking things were great, I quickly learned they were not. I had minor issues with this car, but I over looked it because things happen and sometimes luck doesn't follow us. However because of recent circumstances, I feel I should be warning Subaru owners against this dealership. I went into Subaru to do some routine maintenance on my 2013 Subaru Outback; well this routine maintenance cost me around a $1,000. Fine I thought, I’ll pay, better to be safe. However, after a few days of having my car, I notice a weird noise coming from my car. I am a very thorough man. I pay attention to every little detail, especially after dropping $1,000 not even a week ago. Once again, I find myself at the Subaru dealership in Newton. This time they tell me it’s a wheel bearing which costed me $550. Fine, another payment I paid. For three years I went to this dealership. When they said to fix something I did it right away, no hesitations. I only went to them for three years because I trusted them. Clearly that was my mistake. Not even ONE month later and 4,000 miles later, I am getting my tires rotated at the local tire shop and the mechanic lets me know that my rubber boot was cut and grease was leaking out. I couldn't believe it. It was only one month since my car was in the dealership and now I had to bring it back? Ok fine. I called the manager and he said “If you brought it back two days later, I would say it was our fault. However it’s been one month and 4,000.” Why should I check my car after spending 1,500 dollars?! EXCUSE ME. When they installed the hub, they accidentally cut the boot. No one told me about it, and there’s no way to find that out unless you physically get out of the car. There’s no noise, no leaking. The only way to find out is to lift the car. How did this dealership expect me to do this? That is NOT my duty. Before they gave my car back, they should have checked EVERYTHING. That is NOT my job. It is THEIRS. This cost me another $580. Now it’s not even about the money at this point. It’s the pure disrespect. Also, to have grease leaking like that is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I commute every day about a hour and 30 minutes. God forbid the grease leaked into my brakes and I couldn't stop. Who would support my family. It’s a xxxx shame that I trusted this Subaru of Newton dealership and they completely screwed me over. If you care about your life, money, and time: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They lie and do not take responsibility for their own actions. It’s a shame. Subaru is such a great company and this dealership is the complete opposite. I will NEVER bring my car here again and I strongly suggest that you don’t either. More
