$9K for a transmission - with known issues I brought my car in for service after receiving the eyesight fault lights. Later, I received a text and an e-mail from the service department asking I brought my car in for service after receiving the eyesight fault lights. Later, I received a text and an e-mail from the service department asking if I wanted to authorize the department to replace the catalytic converter for $1,400 and the transmission for $9,252.29. When I called Neil, he said that he was surprised that I did not mention the "roaring" sound of my transmission; as a loyal Subaru customer who brings my car to this department for every service, I was also surprised that the technicians did not pick up on the sound during a previous visit, the most recent being three weeks earlier. Unfortunately, my 2013 Outback' mileage is >100K, so I don't qualify for the extended warranty for a transmission with documented issues. I opted to not approve the $9K transmission replacement. More

I'm always impressed with the welcome from the service staff. On a Saturday morning, they greeted us immediately, took note of what we needed done, told us about how long it would take (less than an hour), then directed us to their very nice waiting areas. We were able to use their WiFi during our stay to check email, etc. Less than an hour later, Taylor returned with a few safety-related items the techs identified, which we were grateful for. She let us know the approximate date for our next service, and we were on our way. All in all, an above-average maintenance visit, which I'm happy to say, is routine for this dealership. More
