Be wary of used cars Just wanted to say to be very careful about buying used cars here. I bought a Land Rover LR3 about 1 year and 9 months used with about 100,000 miles. Just wanted to say to be very careful about buying used cars here. I bought a Land Rover LR3 about 1 year and 9 months used with about 100,000 miles. Within the first year, I had costs of 2700 for battery, alternator, and other minor repairs. I couldn't use the car for about two weeks once because the key they gave me had broke, however they did resolve that issue, and I am thankful for everyone that helped me out then, but that is not enough to make up for this.. Those are both the minor issues that I can deal with. However recently the brakes went out on the car, and when being quoted for the repairs I was informed that the car was almost too rusted out to even get to the brake lines, and that they would have to cut through the frame and weld it back together because the rust was so excessive. The repairs are insanely high and will continue to be because of this, and the mechanic recommended scrapping or getting rid of the car. I understand it is partly my mistake for even buying this car in the first place, and I do not completely blame this dealership as they are just trying to make their money, but I had to leave a review to say that you should really inspect the used cars really well or get a mechanic to do it. If I go through with the necessary repairs, including the stuff it needs done after the brakes, it would be about the cost of the entire car because of the extra labor the excessive frame rust causes. Everyone was really pleasant to work with here, I will give them that, however I still owe money on a car that I don't even want to repair and mechanics recommended I get rid of because the costs are so excessive, which leaves me pretty salty because I paid so much. I understand the car was at or around the market value when I bought it, but in the condition it was in it really shouldnt have been sold for that much because the frame rust is so much. I will live with my mistake and eventually get rid of this car, but I won't be returning here in the future. Notice how they're not going to reply to this either. Stop selling broken cars. More
