I highly recommend Suburban Volvo service department. I took my XC60 in for 110,000 mile service. It was a standard service that turned into a new "front end suspension " job. My service rep, Gillette , I took my XC60 in for 110,000 mile service. It was a standard service that turned into a new "front end suspension " job. My service rep, Gillette , thoroughly explained what was needed and why and worked with me on extending my loaner vehicle. The car now drives like new. I did not realize how the driving had been impacted by the system deterioration. They restored proper function, ride quality, and above all, safety. Thanks to Gillette and the service team for identifying the problem, explaining it to me, and expertly fixing it. Thank you. More
I always have a great experience when I’m dealing with Gillette. He’s very professional and knowledgeable. If I need a loaner vehicle he work things how do it can happen. Gillette. He’s very professional and knowledgeable. If I need a loaner vehicle he work things how do it can happen. More
As you know, having to have your car serviced is not always at the top of the priority list but I do not mind the drive to the Troy Volvo dealership because the staff there are so kind and helpful each always at the top of the priority list but I do not mind the drive to the Troy Volvo dealership because the staff there are so kind and helpful each and every time. Gillette, my service advisor is wonderful. Always helpful, articulate. He is always in good spirits and you can tell that he enjoys helping his customers. Sometimes he delivers not so good news but he always does it with a smile. In the past I dreaded having to take my car in for service. Sometimes still dread the $$ but not the people. I get to deal with some awesome people. More

Chris is always a pleasure to work with! My work gets completed on time and as promised. I bring two Volvos here and Ed (mechanic) knows them inside out. My work gets completed on time and as promised. I bring two Volvos here and Ed (mechanic) knows them inside out. More
Brought my car in for a variety of repairs and maintenance including replacing the front brakes and drums as well as replacing front strut mount bearings. With my reservation, they provided a loan maintenance including replacing the front brakes and drums as well as replacing front strut mount bearings. With my reservation, they provided a loaner which worked out well. Repairs were completed in a fairly quick manner. I returned the loaner, paid, and was sent on my way. Upon arriving home I decided to take a closer look at the work done. I noticed that one of the three strut mount bolts that help hold the front suspension to the car was sheared off. It’s a safety concern and I’m disappointed that they would return a paid for repair to a customer in this condition. This also makes me question if the fluid changes I requested were actually completed. I returned to the dealership first thing the next day to point out the problem. They did not seem overly concerned or apologetic. They did set me up with a loaner from their “B” fleet and it took them another two days to complete the repair. TLDR - Inspect your car closely after having a repair done at Suburban Volvo or find somewhere else to service your car. More
I will never do business with or refer this dealership to anyone. I have done business with Volvo dealerships in multiple cities and now three different states. On January 31, 2024, approximately 11: anyone. I have done business with Volvo dealerships in multiple cities and now three different states. On January 31, 2024, approximately 11:50 AM, I arrived at Suburban Volvo to pick up my car that had been towed to the dealership due to the back brake locking. I approached the door to service department, two male attendants were present; They watched me approaching the door and one of the attendants push the button for the door to go down. I went under the moving door prior to its going completely down. From my perspective, the act was intentional, deliberate and clearly a racial gesture. I gave no power to the disrespectful gesture and greeted the two young men with the respect they should have shown me. I went into the service department, greeted and introduced myself to the two seated gentleman, Chris let me know that he was the person whom I had previously spoken with. Chris and I walked outside to my car where he cleaned it off from the snowfall of the previous day. Suburban Volvo is the fist dealership in three different states that ever attempted to charge me prior to looking at my vehicle. I refuse to pay to have my car looked at. Chris's explanation on the phone, for this upfront payment ,"people don't pick up their cars after diagnosis is done." In my mind, it was apparent what people he was referring to. I am an African American female , holding a Law School degree, MBA degree and BA degree. My point, even if I were not a highly educated professional , I know basic respect for others and acceptable customer service that is all inclusive. BTW, the reason for my interaction with Suburban was as a result of my back brake locking. Apparently the brake lock reset itself after being dragged onto the tow truck. The check parking brake red light was no longer on and the rear wheel rolled as normal. I was able to drive my car from the dealership without accepting a diagnosis. I have owned a Volvo for many years. I am confident of two things, one, my next car will be a Volvo and two, it will not be purchased from Suburban Volvo. More
This dealer did not follow through on promises made to me that should have been easy to handle. One of their salespeople made a mistake that has cost me dearly in time, money, and frustration. They lost what that should have been easy to handle. One of their salespeople made a mistake that has cost me dearly in time, money, and frustration. They lost what would have been a lifelong relationship with me and my family. Go to LaFontaine if you want a Volvo - it’s worth the drive. However, I’d suggest staying away from any dealings with Volvo - there are many other options out there. Don’t get sucked into a nightmare by Suburban or by Volvo corporate! More
