The finance person (Jason) was a snake in the grass. First I wanted to use my bank, the difference was 0.5% between my bank and Sun's bank of choice. He started by trying to make me feel stupid for not choosing Sun's finance options over my bank. Once that didn't work he started trying to encourage my wife into talking me into it. Once that tactic didn't work he somehow printed out the paperwork using Sun's bank, BAD move. Once I called him out, he complained about reprinting the paperwork. At that point he TOLD ME that I would have to go to my bank and get some paperwork signed. Wrong again, I was pre-approved and he knew this. After I said that would not be a problem, he somehow figured out that I wouldn't have to go get it signed he could take care of everything right there and now. HE LIED, he knew I would not have to go, he was trying once again to get me to go with his banking option. Now don't get me wrong, I realize the dealership gets a KICKBACK for everyone they finance through a specific bank. But I didn't need or want that option. And options like extra coverage and additional goodies, this guy was in your face aggressive. I purchased the car there because the did give me the best price, and I would recommend my salesperson, but this guy is a real piece of work. Be careful, be very careful. He's a snake in the grass. Now, buying my second car I knew I wouldn't be able to pay in full like the first car. Being wearisome of car dealers and wanting a good deal I was hopeful in coming back. Not to my surprise it was a great experience. Nick Cantu called me initially when I was searching online but, Steven Peake is the one who sealed the deal. He was so sweet and accommodating. I feel like he really went out of his way to help me find a new car in my time of need, he took his time and made me feel special. Sun Toyota is lucky to have him on their team. More
The absolute worst week of my life.. I was in an accident a few days ago. My car (2011 Prius) was totaled. I was in an out of pocket rental car when I walked into the dealership yesterday. I had zero hope that anything good was going to come of the visit (I had spoken with mr peake on the phone the previous day and told him the situation) just based on how neither my own insurance or that of the at fault party had done much of anything other than make me feel like I was being punished and driving my anxiety off the charts. I had no idea how I was going to replace my dependable car.. you know you can count on the insurance payout never actually replaing your whole car.. mine would buy a truck from the year 1850 with 859k miles on it at best.. I have kids and an hour commute to work and I was super upset at the thought of payments. So I meet up with mr steven. We sit and talk for a bit while he’s gathering info and then he takes me out to show me a 2015 Prius.. that had the same exact backstory as my 2011 when I bought it.. 1 owner.. bought brand new from sun toyota.. never serviced anywhere but sun Toyota.. squeaky clean background.. low mileage.. and in immaculate condition.. only been on the lot a couple weeks if even that. I test drove it and then we returned to his desk. More collecting info.. meeting mr Davy...my credit is a work in progress.. and I was honest with them and the bank they had me talk to about it. I felt like there was no way I’d get an approval and I figured If I did it would come with a paymeny equivalent to a house payment. But then the magic happened.. they not only got me an approval.. but also a payment I can manage! I cried! The big heavy weight was gone.. They did end up needing some info I couldn’t provide yesterday but today.. today i met mr cristian, finished up the paperwork, turned in my homework, and I brought my new car home.. my head is still spinning and can’t wrap around all of it.. they work some serious magic. I don’t even have to worry about oil changes/routine maintenance for the next 3 years.. they literally took care of everything! I am so very thankful. More

If your going to have people with children at your dealership for 4 hours buying a car, you should have something for the kids to do... Overall the staff was very understanding that my kids had nothing to do and was walking all over the dealership! I didn’t get the guys name that worked there but he tried to find crayons so they could color... very nice of him to do!! Thank you for everything Nael and I will recommend people to you!! We love our new Truck!! More

Unethical and Bad Faith Employee My wife saw a used car she liked at Sun Toyota and given that she had purchased 8 vehicles there before she trusted them. Particularly she put trust i My wife saw a used car she liked at Sun Toyota and given that she had purchased 8 vehicles there before she trusted them. Particularly she put trust in Nael Barjas. Barjas called her incessantly about this car, quite literally every 15 minutes pushing for her to come and that the car was "In excellent condition all around". Because she trusted Nael she went ahead and purchased the vehicle. Immediately, on the drive home we noticed the vehicle was not what Nael had promised. When texting Nael about the problems he wrote us off and eventually stopped returning texts. We had the car looked at by Nissan and found out it needed over $3,300 in repairs. We contacted the General Manager of Sun Toyota who screamed at my wife that Sun Toyota ALWAYS sells cars with issues. That email has been sent to the Attorney Generals Office. Based on the managers claims, Nael knew the car had problems, however, he repeated the mantra "in excellent all around condition". My wife bought four cars from Nael in one day in the past and trusted him. Nael's dishonesty about the condition of the car, as well as, his blase attitude when it came time to rectify his mistakes amounts to deeply unethical, amoral and bad faith behavior. In fact, it took a third employee to step in and help the issue. Toyota took minimal responsibility for the egregious misrepresentation of the vehicle and may or may not have made one of the multiple recommended fixes the car is being re-inspected at another dealership. More
