Today I went for my first FREE oil change and even though it's not an Acura they were able to suit my needs . It even came with complimentary car wash and vacuum . After purchasing many cars, including Volvo, Audi,and Mercedes. I have never been more comfortable with a dealership than I was at Sunnyside. Garfield created an elegant pressure-free zone to discuss our needs and financial objectives. He worked closely with Gen'l Sales Mgr. Nadi Malek to explore our options. End result: a very advantageous leasing arrangement and a seamless trade-in process. The car was delivered in absolute top form with a complete tour of all of the TSX high tech features. We bought a used AWD Toyota Sienna from Sunnside. The price was great and they gave us a fair amount for our very old trade ins. My wife and I decided to test drive the new Acura MDX 2011 and called Sunnyside for a test drive. We arrived at the dealership 1 hour later and were greeted by Mr. Joe Casey. He was very knowledgeable ab 2011 and called Sunnyside for a test drive. We arrived at the dealership 1 hour later and were greeted by Mr. Joe Casey. He was very knowledgeable about the product, very patient and respectful (probably the best car salesperson we've ever dealt with). He had the test drive vehicle up and running and ready upon our arrival. He did let us take the MDX to our house and had the chance to test drive it on our iced up driveway (that day) which is pretty steep and we had our concerns. The price we got on the vehicle was great and they also provided us with another AWD car (loaner) until our brand new Acura got delivered a few days later. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, especially Mr. Joe Casey and Nady (Sales Manager) who made our experience truly enjoyable. (Feb 2011) More
We found the listing for a used Honda Odyssey on the web and submitted an inquiry. Wally was very quick to respond and provided answers to all our questions. We were able to set up test drive the next morning and closed the deal the following day...everything happened in < 72 hours! All interactions were fairly easy and fast. The vehicle was priced fairly & had most everything we were looking for. Our overall experience was good, except several of the closing documents contained errors and we had to have them corrected @ the closing and we found a few of the features that Wally indicated were on the vehicle were overstated and inaccurate. In addition, when we took delivery of the car the gas tank was left at less than 1/2 full and the oil change sticker indicates it is @ 15% (not sure what that even means 15% left or 15% used???)...all in all we love the vehicle and Sunnyside Acura dealership, but the points mentioned certainly put a damper on the level of satisfaction....when you spend tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle at a dealership, we kind of expected the gas tank to be full and the oil changed! More
The reason for this rating is that my wife had a front wheel drive TL and it was not good in the snow. Last year when we were in Sunnyside for Maintainence we spoke to Jovel Ortega about having problems d wheel drive TL and it was not good in the snow. Last year when we were in Sunnyside for Maintainence we spoke to Jovel Ortega about having problems driving in the snow. Fast forward a year January 2011 we went in for a small problem with a tire sensor and Jovel asked about why we were there. When Jovel saw us in the dealership he remembered our conversation from a year ago and asked if we were still having problems driving the car in the snow and we said yes. Jovel said maybe we can get you into an AWD TL. He said let me talk with my boss Nadi Malek and let us see what wee can do for you. He came back 10 minutes later with some pricing that was very acceptable for us. The pricing was exceptional and we walked out of the dealeship with an AWD TL for my wife that is great in the snow. We really appreciate what Jovel and Nadi did for us because my wife was very nervous crying and prespiring driving the car on snow covered streets. More
I was put in charge of purchasing a car for my husband. After much research, we decided on the Acura MDX for the reliability and overall excellent ratings. I did a few hours of online research, knew exactly what I wanted (year, package, color, interior, etc) and proceeded to call four different Acura dealerships in my area. While some were helpful and some were not at all, Kayhan was the most helpful and appreciated my straightforward style of getting what I wanted. He never played the old, "after you speak with your husband" routine with me. While Sunnyside was the third furthest of the four dealerships I contacted, the fact that I traveled more than an hour to this dealership should absolutely speak to the level of service and positive experience I encountered dealing with Kayhan. He spent an hour or more just going over all the bells and whistles in the car and really caring that I understood all that the car had to offer. Even though he knew I had already decided on my own that this was the car, he really cared that I knew how it all worked. I was pretty persistent wanting to get the most for my money and he respected that and found the balance for both of us. My only criticism of the overall experience, which does not reflect how I feel about the experience with Kayhan, is that it still had some of the old typical car dealer experiences. The manager had to be consulted numerous times about tweaks to the deal, he also came over to explain the pricing to me. Those two experiences can be view as a little condescending to an educated consumer as well as taking any of the ownership/power of the deal from the salesperson. Seems silly at times to deal with someone for such a long period of time then have their credibility undermined by the showroom manager. I'm sure there is a better way to give the salesperson the incentive to retain the best price for the dealer without having the back and forth silliness. I also think the "additional" expenses should be explained before the price is finalized. Overall, I would always recommend Kayhan Yegenoglu and have as a salesperson/dealer. He is a professional, intelligent, personable gentleman. I had a great overall experience at Sunnyside with Kayhan and would definitely go back. More
Buying a new car is always exciting, but the process is never fun for us; negotiating is usually a lot of play-acting by both parties and it makes our skin crawl. Until our most recent purchase last weekend of a 2011 MDX. We purchased our 2005 MDX from another dealer but brought it to Sunnyside for a transmission software update. As our current MDX had 98,000 miles on it, we decided to take a look at the new ones, as well as the RDX. As we perused, Kayhan asked if we were interested in a new car and the rest was history. Never before have we interacted with a car salesman with more interest, warmth, humor, and car knowledge. He spent an incredibly long time with us (about 3 1/2 hours!) while we test drove both cars and discussed the pros and cons of each. He knew both vehicles inside and out, which we would expect, but his sense of humor, decency, and respectfulness won us over to the MDX and the dealership as a whole. Unfortunately, we still had to deal with a bit of the skin-crawling part of the purchase in the negotiating of the price and trade-in with someone else, but that wasn't Kayhan's fault. When I picked up the car a couple of days later it was sparkling clean with a full tank of gas. Kayhan again spent almost two hours with me explaining all the bells and whistles, again with charm and humor, and sent me on my way, very happy with the experience. Another call 24 hours later by Kayhan assured him that I was more than pleased with the car and his assistance. Two big thumbs up!!! More
