I have dealt with Sunset on several service issues. The first was for a trailer hitch installation on my Bronco. The equipment was on back order with no word from Ford on when it would be available. After waiting around 10 weeks Ford still had no estimate for me. The parts department at Sunset was in tune with my frustration and without me asking began to search everywhere for a solution. They were able to source a hitch and I was able to get it installed, Ford still doesn’t know when the part will be available. The parts department did not have to do this and I didn’t ask them to. The easy move for them was to lean on Ford, they had a built in excuse, but they decided to find a solution instead of sitting back and watching. That type of service is not common. My second experience was with Neil in the service department at Sunset. In a word Neil’s work is exceptional. I bought my Bronco out of state and it came to me with an mis-build from Ford. They wanted me to use a local dealer so I contacted Sunset and they assigned me to Neil. He went to the mat for me, as Ford fought him on the correct part. Neil stuck to it and got the correct part in spite of Ford’s best effort. When it came to the install, Neil continued his excellent service and even got the tech to stay late to finish my job so I didn’t have to wait over the weekend. I can not say enough about Neil and the team at Sunset. More
If I could find another Ford service dealer, I would. They always have a hard time getting me in for appointments because they are sooo busy. I have voiced concerns about my transmission about 5 times & I keep being told l, “these new trucks have to learn the way you drive.” Really? Or, “you can drop it off and we will get to it when we can.” Anyone with a job can’t just drop a vehicle. More
The service was alright but our sales person was less than helpful. We purchased a Bronco soft top and asked him to show us how to take the top down and remove doors and he told us to watch a YouTube vid than helpful.
