"Worst run service department in the state of washington"

- NITTO19X8

WORST RV DEALERSHIP AND REPAIR FACILITY IN THE STATE. If you make an appointment, your RV will sit there for at least 3 weeks before they even pull it in to look at it. All of the Service writers have horrible communication skills and never call you back on time. DO NOT PURCHASE AN RV FROM SUNSET RV OR EVER TAKE YOUR RV TO THERE STATE OF THE ART REPAIR FACILITY. It takes a month for them to be able to winterize your RV. A MONTH BACKLOG FOR WINTERIZING. You have got to be kidding me.

SERVICE MANAGER AND ALL OF HIS SERVICE WRITERS ARE HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH.

Sunset RV responded

On behalf of Sunset RV, let me first express our professional apologies for not meeting your expectations. Our RV Service facility is in high demand and the wait is certainly longer than any of us would like. That being said, it is no longer than industry standards…and it certainly did not take 3 weeks before we even looked at your RV. Space is at a premium at Sunset RV’s service facility. The notion of anything just sitting outside for 3 weeks, not moving, taking up space, is absurd. However, there is no way I could research your service history with the information given here. Being that we do not have anyone named “NITTO19X8” in our data base. Furthermore, since there was not information given about your RV, (Year, Make , Model…even the type of RV), there is absolutely no way I can research this complaint. I can tell you this, an RV service facility is a profit center for whatever company owns it. Time is money in the service industry. Service is billed by the time the service tech has invested, by the hour. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to ever sit on an RV for 3 weeks. Would you wait 3 weeks to make money on something that is just sitting outside (according to you)? Again, this is unlikely. As for your other comments… These are simply not constructive and are consistent with what we call (in the industry) “A Rouge Post”….a fictional post usually posted by a competitor or someone just looking to damage a company’s image. It is frustrating for every business that receives a negative online comment because there are no checks and balances in place from companies like YELP, Google, Facebook, Dealer Rater, etc….to be able to legitimize the comments. They are simply posted….and we are left to respond. You see, when there is no customer name, type of vehicle/RV, date of service, or any particular names of the people you encountered here, there is no way to verify or even research the experience. Without the basic information, we cannot solve your issues, as much as we may want to. Now, I personally believe this is not a “rouge post” and that you are one of our customers who is disappointed in our service….even though I believe your comments are greatly exaggerated and are intended to do little more than hurt our business and are not intended to solve any of the issues you have with us. Rather just a forum to vent. Again, you have given us nothing to work with to solve your issues. Please feel free to contact me directly at 206-715-3990 and I will personally do all I can to satisfy you and your concerns. But I am going to need some particulars and realistic expectations. We at Sunset RV try very hard to satisfy very customer and we have a very high batting average. That being said, sometimes we fall short of expectations. It sounds as if this is the case with you. Please let us try to remedy this without you feeling the need to damage us with the public. Fair enough? Mike Conley Director of Marketing Sunset RV

"Update on the Purchase of our Winnebago Adventurer 2004"

- Winnebago04

Well after having to wait almost 2 1/2 months to get delivery of it, we got it home and then three days later had to take it back. Then after a month in the shop we got it back with another problem. So 3 days home then back up to the shop. Everything wrong was suppose to be taken care of during the Pre-delivery which we paid extra for. Anyways so after all that we decided to upgrade our TV's, Danny the tech did outstanding work, by the way. We got it home and everything almost was good. Let me back up alittle first, When we first went up to except delivery I asked if they service the household batteries and was told they only test them, ours has corrosion and dirty. I since went to the store were I purchased the RV and spoke to the Salesman, Mike Baydos, whom told me that is wrong that they should we taken care of that. So I have an appointment setup for next month to d-winterize it and hoping then that they will take care of this problem. I would further like to note that they have since changed service managers at the center and hopefully things will improve. I want to especially note that during our pre-delivery check, Benny the tech whom gave us the walk through the coach was outstanding and took his time with us explaining and showing us about it. The three Service Advisors that we have dealt, Nathan, Deanna, and Jeff were awesome and went above and beyond their jobs.

"Nightmare of nightmares...stay away!!!!"

- Wisewoman

We bought a brand new 2013 Forest River toy hauler at the Tacoma Dome rv show in March, 2013. We've had nothing but problems with this brand new expensive rig. It was at the RV service center in Buckley (used to be owned by White River RV, now Sunset RV owns it) for three months from Jan 11 to just last Sat April 18, 2014 due to their screw ups in ordering parts. They took the top cap off our trailer and let the rain come in get the cupboards and bed pillows wet and moldy, our electric jack isn't working, our hot water heater isn't working, our brand new batteries that they charged us to install are dead and there's so many awful things I can say about this place. Run run run do not do business with Sunset RV/Sunset RV repair. They will lie lie lie and they could care less, once they have your money you mean nothing.
