Don't buy used cars @ Sunshine Toyota I recently purchased a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser from Sunshine Toyota thinking that they looked at the car for any mechanical issues before selling it. I recently purchased a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser from Sunshine Toyota thinking that they looked at the car for any mechanical issues before selling it. As i mentioned to the sales person that i was buying a used car through a dealership because it would be in good condition at least mechanically. So, after a couple of weeks i took the land cruiser to get the alternator replaced (not complaining about this) and i found out that the battery was undersized for the land cruiser, also i asked Crown Toyota to adjust the handbrake which it came out that they couldn't do it because it required further investigation. So reported the issue to Sunshine Toyota that if they had checked that when they did the inspection. I recently took it back to Sunshine Toyota to adjust the hand break and they did adjust it but it was the same as before, when the hand break is applied it doesn't grab any more. Usually in Michigan we don't use the handbrake because is mostly flat, but it is also an emergency brake in case your main brakes fails. I feel as if Sunshine Toyota just grabbed the car and sold it without any thorough inspection. Soon i will be taking it to another Toyota dealership to have a thorough inspection just to know exactly what needs to be repaired. At the moment i don't feel comfortable taking it on long trips because i'm not sure if something will fail or not, also without an emergency handbrake you just hope your main brakes don't fail. So if you are buying a used car from Sunshine Toyota please take that car to another Toyota dealership to have it inspected before committing to buy a car from them. UPDATE: After having another Toyota dealership do an inspection on the car, i need to spend at least $2500.00 to fix the issues i purchased with the car. More
