What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Suntrup sold me a pre-owned Honda Odyssey before they owned it. It took two months to get our registration. No one would return our phone calls and we made numerous calls to the business office. The sa owned it. It took two months to get our registration. No one would return our phone calls and we made numerous calls to the business office. The sales process was great but the business/finance process was a nightmare. I would recommend insisting on receiving all paperwork at the time of the transaction. More

Moe was terrific to work with. My husband had just passed and I needed to trade in his car and get a newer car with newer safety features and a color that I could be enthused about.
