What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Moe was wonderful! We reached out to Suntrup Kia and were very honest from the start. We needed a new car, but we still owed on our trade and have some credit struggles. Moe was courteous and profession were very honest from the start. We needed a new car, but we still owed on our trade and have some credit struggles. Moe was courteous and professional and worked hard to put us in our new car with no money down. Our situation was definitely not ideal but Moe never missed a beat, I am so grateful we came to Suntrup and had Moe to help us. We bought our last Kia from another local dealer, but the service was not great. Suntrup and Moe especially have been great and we will be back when we purchase again. More
