What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

We came in to Suntrup Kia today and were greeted by James Bullock. James was one of the best salesmen I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was super patient with us test driving several different vehicles and going through the numbers on them. James was very understanding of our "hard number" we had for a payment ceiling. He worked with us and the sales manager in an absolutely no pressure situation to ultimately get us in a perfect vehicle for us. If you're thinking of a new Kia or used vehicle of any kind in the large Suntrup inventory, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JAMES BULLOCK! Ps...good luck with that baby that's on the way James! More

We didn't expect to be buying a new car but a major mechanical problem, too expensive to warrant repair, made it necessary to purchase a car quickly.
