I live in Clayton and there are other dealers much closer to me than Suntrup but when I met JD over the internet he was much different than the others. We talked on the phone and he promised he would make m to me than Suntrup but when I met JD over the internet he was much different than the others. We talked on the phone and he promised he would make my buying experience easy and fun. To my surprise he did just that and more. I never had a salesman be so friendly to my kids when they were not acting the way they should but he carried himself great and that meant a lot to me and my family! JD is great and I will be seeing him again next summer to buy my Touareg. Thanks again JD! More
I had a GREAT experience at Suntrup Nissan!!! Aaron was very nice and helpful, and he wasn't pushy. He didn't candy-coat anything and did a great job at getting me the best deal possible for my trade-in. very nice and helpful, and he wasn't pushy. I actually had a great experience! My feeling toward dealers and dealerships have always been a bit sideways. My past experiences with dealers have left me a little timid when it comes to buying a car, dealers and dealerships have always been a bit sideways. My past experiences with dealers have left me a little timid when it comes to buying a car, but I had to do it, I was driving a 98 Avalon with 200,000 miles. It was more than beat up. I had my eye on the Jetta for a few years and they seemed real reliable and affordable. After a bit of research ( including this site) I decided to check out Suntrup Volkswagon. My first impression wasn't stellar, one might expect a beautiful new building and flashy signs everywhere. Not this place! This place was straight out of the 70's. Which I later decided was cool and probably kept their overhead low giving me a better price. Not sure, but the price was better than others in town. ( I checked!) Pulling in with my beat up Toyota I parked off to the side and just started browsing a bit. I figured if I kept quiet none of the sales guys would attack me. Even being quiet it only took 3 minutes before a young man named JD greeted me and asked if he could help me out. I told him no and kept browsing. It must have been 10 minutes later and I was still looking at the same Jetta when he came back and just told me a few "need to knows" about the car. I must say I really liked his persistent nature and at the same time he didn't give some corny sales pitch. He just told me a few things I didn't know and left me to it. Before he left he handed me his card and told me once again to give him a shout if I wanted to test it out, or if I had any questions. Well, turns out I had a lot of questions and I bet I drilled him to death, but he always remained positive. After 3 months of indecision on my part and JD remaining consistent on price and approach, I new he gave me his best deal upfront. In the end it payed off for both of us and Im loving my new car. Anytime I have a question or concern about my car I just call JD and he helps me from there. The thing I love most is that he isn't just a salesman that wants to close the deal and move on. He truly cares about my experience with Volkswagon and the Suntrup dealership. I highly recommend this dealer! More
Worse experience ever so far and it isn't over. Recently I purchased a 2010 Rogue by trading in my Toyota Corolla for their $5000 over Kelley Blue Book deal they have going on. First they said they weren't I purchased a 2010 Rogue by trading in my Toyota Corolla for their $5000 over Kelley Blue Book deal they have going on. First they said they weren't offering that deal with the Rogue which was LIE #1 because I called and spoke to someone earlier that day and confirmed before I drove 45 minutes there that I could get that on my Corolla. Then they said they couldn't use our financing which was LIE #2, they claimed they had to pay USAA $900 for a finder's fee, which we spoke to our bank and that is not true. Then my sales guy was supposed to call me the following Monday to schedule the interior and exterior protective coatings, something we didn't want to pay for in the first place, but since we had to pay for it, well it better be done. So he never called. Then I brought the car in the following week to have them check my engine light, which was because something came unplugged, so that was fixed. While the car was there they were going to do the protective coating application which would take several hours for the seat to dry so they gave me their service car to use for the night. When I went the next day to pick up the car, the interior had not been touched. I called when I got home because a towel that I had laying across my back seat (for my dog) had not even been moved and her body indention was still there so I know they didn't touch it. I called and talked to a service guy and asked what was done to my car, he said fixed the plug. I said is that it and he said yes. So then I asked if the protective coats were applied and he yelled to the service advisor who responded yes, LIE #3. I nicely said that that was hard to believe because the towel had not been touched he then put me on hold. I waited 5 minutes before I heard a dialtone and was hung up on. Then when I called back after being mysteriously disconnected I asked for service and they gave me our sales guy. Who then explains that the reason they didn't do the back seat was because they didn't want to mess up my personal belongings. A towel on my back seat, wow that is really something you shouldn't touch...seriously? That is why my car was there being serviced, to have my seats done. If they were that concerned to move a towel off my seat to do the service that they were supposed to do, why not call me to see if they could move the towel to complete the work? Instead even when I picked it up, they didn't mention they didn't do the back seat, they even said they did do it until I pointed it out that they hadn't. He then said he looked in the system and it had already been done before we bought it, so that now it had been done twice, LIE #4. Just by looking at the front seat you can see that they did not apply anything because the seats had fuzz and things I noticed before we dropped if off that if the seats were cleaned and protected would no longer have been there. Also, on my paperwork from my service that was complete it does not mention the protective coatings anywhere. He then told me to bring the car back down and I can watch them do it....I live 45 minutes away, so it is not convenient at all. He gave me the typical wants me to be happy with my car talk and I tell him that I am happy with my car, but not with the service and the process of buying the car. After I expressed how I felt about my experience he says they shouldn't even have sold the car to me for that price. Honestly, just the worse experience ever. I am not an idiot nor am I hard to please, but this experience was not pleasant, was not truthful, was not something I want to relive and I will NEVER recommend anyone going the SunTrup to buy a car. He let me take it for a spin first, sat down with me to work out the paperwork, and afterward introduced me to the folks in the service department. My salesperson was Russ Little II. Hit it off perfectly with him. I was beginning to wonder if he was trying to sell me a car due to the low pressure atsmophere there. Felt i got the best price, service an with him. I was beginning to wonder if he was trying to sell me a car due to the low pressure atsmophere there. Felt i got the best price, service and all my needs/questions were dealt with completely. The car was for my wife and he gave her alot of attention during the whole car transaction. I really apprecaited that as did my wife. This has been the "Best" purchase i have ever made at a car dealership. It definitely had the "WOW" factor. Great Job and HIGHLY recommend Russ Little II and Suntrup Volkswagon More
