KAINOA(Client Advisor/Sales Rep), Beau(Manager) and AJ (Finance Manager) really were all so amazing. I had an appointment with Kainoa and was immediately attentive and had my car interest pulled up ready (Finance Manager) really were all so amazing. He was knowledgeable about the car, its features and throughly explained differences in car model options. I was a little nervous going through the process of purchasing but Kainoa often encouraged me through it and did his best to work with the manager Beau to fit within my budget. Beau was kind and did what he could to work through details of the paperwork. Once it was sent to the financial manager AJ their consistent effort to help flowed. AJ really worked through details and explained what needed to get the appropriate payment amount. I am so grateful to the Suntrup Volkswagen team for bringing relief & peace to a stressful situation. I purchased a new VW Jetta through Tony. Everything went smoothly until the pick-up. Earlier in the day, I sent Tony my insurance and drivers license as requested and let him know that I'd b Everything went smoothly until the pick-up. Earlier in the day, I sent Tony my insurance and drivers license as requested and let him know that I'd be by after work to pick up. When I arrived, no one knew that I was picking up the car and nothing in my file had been updated. I had to wait while the team on staff could find my car. I was told that Tony had left early for vacation and overheard the team comment to each other that it was "another Tony issue." They also needed a copy of my driver's license and my insurance card again - because it was never uploaded to my file. Finally I met with Finance to turn over the check. They completed their paperwork and accepted the check from my bank (and validated the amount owed against the check). I walked out with my keys to my car and to my surprise the car had no floormats at all. When I had test drove the car, there were mats in the trunk - but they were nowhere in sight. I almost walked back in and cancelled the deal, but Will from the team went and searched and search for mats and brought me a new set. He single-handedly saved Suntrup's sale. Fast forward a couple weeks and I get a call from the Finance team that the check (the one they themselves had verified) was incorrect and I owed additional money. Their suggestion was to go back to my bank and re-do the loan - that was already paid out to Suntrup and which Suntrup had already cashed the check. I probably could have done that had it not been literally weeks since the loan was done and they had cashed the check. The New Car Sales Manager was out to lunch with a Sales Rep and I was given the Used Car Sales Manager. He was nice enough, but no real help and said he would talk to the New Car Sales Manager when he returned from lunch. No surprises, the New Car Sales Manager didn't return from lunch and couldn't be bothered to return my call himself to account for the failings of every department under him. Instead, I was the Used Car Sales Manager who could offer nothing but a free tank of gas for my "inconvenience." Even more jarring was finding that the sticker price (which has been taken out of every car on their lot) in my glovebox and that it was lower than I paid. Moral of the story: Suntrup has poor customer service, poor follow through, poor management, poor Finance representatives, and poor procedures. Bommarito has the same cars for the same price and I'd recommend going to them. More
