Taylor Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

"So a guy walks into a dealership to buy a mini van" My wife and I have been looking for a new vehicle for her to replace her 1993 Plymouth Voyager. Now granted, the Voyager is in nearly new condition w My wife and I have been looking for a new vehicle for her to replace her 1993 Plymouth Voyager. Now granted, the Voyager is in nearly new condition with just over 69,000 miles on it. The van was purchased new by her brother and was used to transport his band equipment. It is truly amazing how much cargo that Plymouth could hold. The van was always parked in the brothers climate controlled garage when not in use and was professionally detailed twice annually. So this part of the story is merely a backdrop to what brought us to Taylor. That and the fact that we were a repeat customer and have been treated quite well and fairly in the past by Taylor. Taylor has been in the Kankakee area for a long time and I often have to correct myself from saying Taylor Chrysler Plymouth since Plymouth is no more. The van we were looking to replace is in good enough shape that it would be at home on a new car dealer's floor. We merely wanted newer and more modern safety equippment in a van for my wife as she often has several of our 9 grandchilderen with her. We had been looking at mini vans on line and at other dealer brands without finding one to drive home. Based on my online search and our past experience with Taylor, Taylor seemed to be a logical choice for a new 7 passenger vehicle for her. I am a car collector and a member of the Florida MOPAR Association and Citrus MOPAR Car Club. I have been anticipating the release by Dodge of the 2017 Challenger convertible and have done a lot of "Googling" on this anticipated release. Recently I asked my MOPAR service rep in Florida if he had any knowledge of a release date for the Challenger convertible. His response was that as a Service Rep he would be one of the first to know as he would require training on any new vehicle offerings by Dodge and he had no knowledge that a Challenger convertible would be produced. So now we get to the part about the guy walking into a dealership to buy a mini van. We were greeted by Ian Nemeth soon after we entered the building. We discussed with Ian what we were looking for and our vehicle requirements. Ian talked about the vehicle options offered by his dealership. There was no pressure, more like chatting. Ian showed us some vehicle options, had us take a drive in my wife's choice and explained the benefits of leasing versus buying in order to keep abreast of the latest in safety equipment. Throughout this experience Ian was continually a complete professional. When I expressed an interest in the Dodge Challenger convertible sitting on the floor he answered our many questions accurately and professionally. The entire staff presented itself in a warm friendly manner reminiscent of a neighborhood store of days gone by. My experience of purchasing a car at Taylor was friendly and warm. Ian was helpful and more of a guide to my purchase than a "car sales man". More
