Fixed Chevrolet Silverado steering problem I was happy with the service done, that my problem was solved as far as I know, and that it was completed in the amount of time specified. I have a ma I was happy with the service done, that my problem was solved as far as I know, and that it was completed in the amount of time specified. I have a major problem though with the actual failure in the vehicle. My Silverado, with just over 60,000 miles, was diagnosed with needing new struts, and a steering gear box. I baby this truck, having only 60,000 miles in just over 8 years. I never take it off road, and service it constantly. With that said, either the service department fixed something that didn't need fixing, or the model year truck has a serious problem with these parts failing and it needs to be addressed. I would like to hear from Chevrolet, either thru the dealer or directly about this. Until then, I would never buy another Chevy truck knowing that this kind of failure could happen in such a short amount of time and cost the over $1700 to fix. More
