I have thought for a while about whether or not I would discuss all of my problems with OTHER dealerships before I gave my glowing recommendation of Autobarn Subaru Of Countryside. All I will say is that discuss all of my problems with OTHER dealerships before I gave my glowing recommendation of Autobarn Subaru Of Countryside. All I will say is that through my last week of car shopping I have had some really awful experiences. My experience with Autobarn was truely the best car buying experience I have ever had. I contacted every Subaru dealership in Illinois and one in Wisconsin, Autobarn beat the second best price by over $500!. All of my contact was with Melissa, the internet sales manager. She answered all of my questions in a timely manor, and was extremely honest and straight forward. When I went in for a test drive I was in and out of the dealership in 20 minutes. She didnt try the normal "Let me introduce you to my general manager" routine, she just answered my questions and thanked me for coming in. It was at this moment that I decided that if I bought a Subaru, I was buying from this dealership. In the interim we continued to look at other makes of vehicles and were mostly un-impressed with the quality of service we received at other dealerships. We were also quite shocked at how there really are no vehicles that can go apples for apples with an Outback when you measure what it offers for the price. I started off my car buying experience by not only researching cars but researching dealerships, and honestly I was sceptical about alot of bad reviews I read, but after my own experiences this week I know the good experience I had with Autobarn is a rare one. This is my first Subaru and if I am as happy with the car ten years from now as I am today I would never go anywhere else for my next Subaru. Autobarn understands how to treat people and I urge anyone interested in a Subaru to make Autobarn their first stop. And one last thing, a local dealership advertises a lifetime warranty on any vehicle purchased from them, it is nothing but a gimmick. I excitedly told the salesperson at this dealership that it was great that I could save alot by being able to forgo the extended warranty since they offered a lifetime warranty and he told me that I still need the extended warranty.... huh? Their lifetime warranty only covers things that will never actually break. To the Ownership/Management of Autobarn Subaru, I know that the quality of employees is a direct representation of the quality of management and their policies. Keep up the good work. And give Melissa a raise! More
We came in from out of town to get the car on the bus and expected to take a taxi to the dealership. Andy was great, even driving 25 minutes out of his way to pick us up from the bus station. It was defini expected to take a taxi to the dealership. Andy was great, even driving 25 minutes out of his way to pick us up from the bus station. It was definitely above and beyond expectations. There was a scuff in the front bumper and one of the service guys eagerly walked up and took care of it right at that moment. I was impressed by their desire to keep me happy. More
I wasn't anticipating buying a car at this point, but after a car accident I had to. I was attracted to the subaru because I wanted an AWD manual that was economical and safe but also cute. And all of after a car accident I had to. I was attracted to the subaru because I wanted an AWD manual that was economical and safe but also cute. And all of my friends who have subarus love them. So I went in Saturday, dealt with Noelle who truly was a pleasure to work with and I came back Tuesday to pick up my car, which I love! I felt no pressure to buy something I didn't want, I felt confident that she gave me the best deal and that she had my best interest in mind, which was truly an unexpected treat from buying a car. Brian was also great to deal with for financing. I would 100% recommend this dealership, especially Noelle. More
We started our shopping at the local dealership in town, Gerald Naperville. Spent several hours at the dealership trying to negotiate a fair price with their internet manager. Ended up walking away. Went Gerald Naperville. Spent several hours at the dealership trying to negotiate a fair price with their internet manager. Ended up walking away. Went online that evening only to find that the price we were asking to pay was actually higher than their advertised online price. Needless to say we were not happy. The reason we were given was that the advertised price does not include the $695 "appearance package" that they supposedly put on most of the vehicles. The appearance package was explained to us as door guards and pin stripes (the 80's style stripe stickers). We ended up negotiating a price over the internet with Melissa and paying far under the internet price on Gerald's site. Not only did the vehicle cost much less, but it included more options, including a remote start. Melissa made the process so easy and painless. There were no hidden "appearance package" type charges and we were not put through the ringer. She was so professional and pleasant to deal with. We entered the dealership with a pit in our stomach from our experiences the day before and exited as an extremely satisfied customer. Hats off to Melissa.....your the best! More
I purchased my 2010 Subaru on December 9th and traded in my vehicle the same day. The agreement between myself and the dealership was intricate to say the least. Through communication though both parties we my vehicle the same day. The agreement between myself and the dealership was intricate to say the least. Through communication though both parties were able to agree to a positive resolution and transaction. Their customer service and desire to please the customer is evident in the quality of their work. I am very happy with our agreement and transaction and will recommend their services to others. More

I called a hand full of Subaru dealers in the Chicago land area for two weeks before making the decision to go with Countryside. When I was ready to buy, most of the new 2011 Foresters were sold out lea land area for two weeks before making the decision to go with Countryside. When I was ready to buy, most of the new 2011 Foresters were sold out leaving only the base model at various dealers. I wanted a limited with navi and the only choice was the 2012 model. The numbers of Foresters that were being delivered in that trim and with that option limited my choices of color and dealerships. I ended up with a red limited Forester with navi. The process with Mario was good from start to finish. He was professional and courteous all the way though. The price we got was through Costco auto program and it was better then the price I negotiated with dealers and better then the invoice price from truecar.com. Either I'm a really bad haggler or I got a great deal. Whatever the case I'm still happy with my purchase. Thank you Mario. The dealer ship is located on a strip with many other dealers in the area on a very busy street. Getting to the dealer isn't too difficult though. I need a place to get maintenance and service work on my vehicle and Countryside would be my natural choice, however I noticed that other dealers up north and in the city have better service coupons, specials, and lower parts prices then Countryside. I know I have to come in for a oil change in a couple of months and I hope Countryside runs some better promotions soon. More

We bought a Subaru Outback in October. The quote from Melissa was the lowest in Chicago area, then we decide to have a look at the car. Before the visit, we have lots of communication in e-mails.
