Limp home mode I bought 2014 Santa Fe 18 months ago. I love the car. I was losing acceleration. Fortunately it was die to a recalled part. My 2005 last until 2019. I took hood care of it and put on 173,000 miles on it. I'd still be driving it if someone wouldn't have wrecked it for me. It is good to know people!!! We had our van towed to Tom Ahl because it had died on the roadway. We left it in their hands to figure out what the problem was. A little while later We had our van towed to Tom Ahl because it had died on the roadway. We left it in their hands to figure out what the problem was. A little while later I received a phone call telling me that my battery was bad and they couldn't do anything without replacing my battery. I told her that we had just replaced the battery within the last 1.5 yrs and the the battery shouldn't be bad. She then reiterated her previous statement, so Inreitereated mine. She then said again we can't do anything until we replace the battery and that will be $193.06 plus tax. I told her again that we just got s new battery within the last 1.5 yrs and I only spent $150.00. I was at work when the conversation was taking place and on my way to a meeting. When all she did was repeat herself........again......I simply told her to do whatever she needed to do and hung up. A little whole later I then received another phone call from the same individual who told me the alternator was bad and needed replaced. She told me that was covered under my drive-train warranty and I would just have to pay the $100 deductable plus the price of the battery bringing my total to $293.06 plus tax. I again stated that something didn't seem right and then hung up. I then called my dad who agreed that something didn't sound right. He told me he was going to make a phone call. He then called me back to say that he called a buddy of his who was going to look into the situation and then would call him back. A little while later I then received another phone call from Tom Ahl telling me the vehicle was done and that the total owed was going to be $106, that Vince Downing had gone over there himself and checked my battery and that the battery was fine, it just needed charged. The next day we picked up the van and barely got it down the road when the battery light came back on. We returned the van to the dealership. When they called to tell us what was wrong they told us it was the module. Why wouldn't you check to be sure everything is fixed prior to a customer picking up the vehicle. There were only 2 good things that stuck out......a big thank you to Vince for checking into things and making sure we were taken care of and not getting screwed......the second, thank you to Marlon for noticing our AC was out and having that checked before we picked up our vehicle. I typically don't have a good experience with Marlon as she was the one we were speaking to, the one not listening toward the beginning of our experience but I am glad she redeemed herself at the end. I am confident, though, that had Vince not stepped in none of the other stuff would have been caught and we would have gotten screwed!!!! I may purchase a vehicle from Tom Ahl again, but I will.never do ANYTHING through the Chrysler side as I feel they attempt to nickel and dime you! I have dealt with some on the GMC side of things before, such as Crystler told me they had NO vehicles for me to use that would fit my entire family. Even after I told them I had 3 in car seats they attempted to put me in something about the size of a Ford focus. I again called my dad who made some phone calls and then those on the GMC side came to my rescue and helped me out. This doesn't have anything to do with this specific encounter, but there is a huge difference between the customer service on the Chrystler side vs the GMC side and this is something that should definitely be addressed as I am not the only person who has noticed this or has stories similar to mine!!!! More

great experience Came onto the lot a week or two ago and we saw this 2008 Jeep Wrangler, that fit our price range and what we wanted. we came back and talked with Gen Came onto the lot a week or two ago and we saw this 2008 Jeep Wrangler, that fit our price range and what we wanted. we came back and talked with Gene about and took it for a test drive, we really liked it even tho it had a small issue that needed to be taken care (which it was) Got a call from Gene telling me that when they got the vehicle in they found that it needed 2 brake lines replaced and further more while it was in the check engine light came on indicating that an O2 sensor needed replaced. he said it would be 5 days until the sensor would be in and he would call me when it was ready ( he did as promised) Today (5/13) we came in Gene had all the paperwork ready, and we were out of the dealership by 10;30 ish. Thanks Gene for your help!! I have purchased several vehicles at Tom Ahl, and over the years have come to know a few of the employees there on the sales staff, and am greeted by each and everyone of them! More
