We had looked on line, found a car we were interest in and were able to choose the salesman we wanted to work with. Salesman Jeff Skelly had great reviews so that's who we went with. Jeff is a great guy, not a pushy salesman. We contacted Jeff through email to inquire about the car. He was prompt with his reply. When arriving at the dealership I was greeted with a friendly atmosphere. Both Jeff Skelly and the Finance officer Wade made our experiance purchasing the exact car we wanted a pleasant one. If your in the market for a new or used auto we highly recommend you see Jeff Skelly at Tom Ahl! More

We had an experience at a previous dealership where we felt pushed to make a decision, instead of my making the best decision for us. Jeff was not pushy at all, he was understanding and showed us different perks about each vehicle but was also honest about each one. We had a great experience and we will be back! More

Dissatisfied- please read update 9/28/2018 Tom Ahls was tasked with the collision repair of my 08 Impala SS after an accident. When the car was left with the body shop, they were told of all th Tom Ahls was tasked with the collision repair of my 08 Impala SS after an accident. When the car was left with the body shop, they were told of all the steering issues and noises coming from the front end after the accident, and that a new transmission had been installed 4 month earlier, and it was acting different, and at that time of installation there were no front end issues. The front suspension, axles, and engine cradle have to be removed and reinstalled to replace the transmission, and no problems were found. We received the car back with extremely poor workmanship on the body repair and none of the mechanical problems addressed. We called immediately and complained. I was told to bring it back in. I told them I had no vehicle and had to have the car to get to work and didn't know when I could do that, we have to work, they said no problem, just get back with them. No comp vehicle was offered. Called several more times, many calls not returned, or we could not take it at the times they wanted it there, until we were told by our insurance agent to take it back. When we told them the agent wanted it back in, then we were offered a comp vehicle, yet on the day we arrived to drop the car off, the comp vehicle was not available, and we couldnt leave the car. While waiting for the next appointment, the steering, and brakes became so bad, the car became undrivable and had to be repaired. The front hubs and axles were destroyed, stabilizer links broken, the engine and suspension cradle was loose allowing the front end to move around independent of the car causing the popping, banging and cracking as it was destroying the front end. when we called and complained again, we were asked to come it for a meeting. In that meeting Vince Downing told my wife and I that they would look at it again, but they didn't have to do anything, and we needed to understand he was doing us a favor. When we got it back to the body shop, they repaired the substandard bodywork, kinda, and readjusted the door (after which water started getting in the car causing water damage to the interior that they say isn't covered, on its third time back), but said the mechanical problems were normal wear and tear. So I was left with a vehicle that drove great before the accident, but now is scary to drive after, as there is still damaged parts in the front end, they informed us. The cradle being loose was destructive to the suspension, front end, and potentially dangerous problem that was completely missed or ignored by Tom Ahls, possibly because the addition of that would have totalled the car, as the body work alone was over $6000? My insurance had to cover the repair since I was hit by someone uninsured. I am very disappoint. Included is a picture of the car with the exposed suspension, cradle, wheel that was "not damaged on impact". More recently I had to take my 06 Monte Carlo in, my insurance has an office at Tom Ahls, for another accident, hit a raccoon and damaged the front, and the paint is falling off of the new bumper they painted and installed. I don't know if I even want to talk to Vince Downing about it just to be told the repair warrant is doing me a favor. Previous to these two claims, they have impressed me, these last two encounters have left me extremely dissatisfied, and disappointed. More

Don’t trust the service center Let me preface my story. Back in May I had a stretched timing chain in my 2012 Buick Enclave. They are known, from what I read, that this is a probl Let me preface my story. Back in May I had a stretched timing chain in my 2012 Buick Enclave. They are known, from what I read, that this is a problem that occurs, on average around 102,000 miles. After a $3000 repair. I took a trip to Georgia. In TN, a creaking noise started. I called the service department when I got to Georgia to let them know about it since I would be a while before I got back. Upon my return, I brought my car in the service department to have them look at it. I was told I needed new struts and mounts. This took an extra day because the technician said the installation had a problem and had to be removed and reinstalled. After this work was done and $700 charge later, I was called and was told my car was ready. I walked out to the parking lot to get my car. As soon as I started the car and put it in drive I heard the creaking. Exactly the same noise as before. I drove straight back in the service department and told them it was not fixed. The next day I was called and was told they were coming to my house to pick up my car. They did. I told my wife that to watch and see what they say. I told her they would have a story where the strut was the problem and they found it. Guess what... you guessed it. I expressed my thought that they finally looked for “the real” problem and may have found it and of course blame it on the struts. The car was brought back to me yesterday and as soon as my wife drove it, the noise was still there. It’s now at the service department again for the 4th time. Of course, the problem will be blamed on the struts again. This all started in May when the timing chain was fixed. They fixed the wrong problem by adding the struts. Now all the problems will be centered there until they find the real problem. This is so they won’t have to return my money. I’m not stupid. I know what they are doing. Beware and perhaps a 2nd opinion is not a bad idea. I will no longer bring my car here even though I bought my first car from here in 1979. Tom Ahl is a good , honest and honorable man. I place no blame there and I will still buy from there in the future. Update - service just called. They think they found the problem. They fixed the struts for the fourth time. Imagine that. Update - I can’t make this stuff up. Still not fixed. They had the car all week trying to find the problem. Tiffany calls to update me. She tells me they are putting new struts on. I told her they already did that. She said they are doing it again. She said they were changing them again at no charge to me. Are you kidding me Tiffany? Is that meant to mess with me or do you think I’m that stupid? Of course you won’t charge me for not being able to fix my car. I should be refunded my $700 for the unbelievable crap I’m being put through. I will never let the service department touch my car again. Update - this will be the last update - just got a call from Tiffany. She said the car is done. Stated they installed a GM strut and now the problem is fixed . Oh and by the way. A new steering knuckle was also installed since they found a noise there. She said there would be no charge again. Maybe they amazingly found the real problem. I asked her if there was a refund for all this crap. She said no. Again.....beware of this service department. More
