In attempting to trade a Tom Ahl purchased 2008 Hyundai Sonata I was insulted with the trade allowance. My wife wanted (needed) a 4-wheel drive and we settled on the Santa Fe. The Sonata hit a deer doing damage that I had repaired and excellently finished. The Sonata was in absolute beautiful condition, low mileage and properly serviced. Service records were available plus service data available at the Ahl Service Department. The Sonata had a book value of over $10,000 The first appraisal the "grumnpy looking" sales manager put on the car was $6000. When I balked, in minutes, the salesman, Ted Kill, brought back his sales manager's "new" trade allowance of $7000. Wow!!! That quick a $1000 bump. I got a little heated (being Irish) but the sales Manager did not leave his office, nor did he acknowledged us. When trying to "steal" our, or any trade-in, more ability subtlety and salesmanship would be needed.. Having a little knowledgxe of the business I can spot that the "head wags the tail" so I hope this "knocks your socks off." Per haps some advertising money could be spent on training. I have this request remove my wife, Dr. Marjorie Walker, and me, Mr. John (Jack) Walker from your mailing list. We bought a 2013 (New) Ford Escape. We received excellent service, salesmanship, and the sales manager demonstrated a sincere, caring approach. And, we were given the proper trade allowance. I will be trading my "low mileage" Dodge Ram truck shortly, but guaranteed, Tom Ahl will not get the sale. More

I was very impressed with how welcoming Matt made me feel as well as everyone in the dealership on that chilly December night, including the owner Tom. Tom's daughter Mindi walked me through the paperwork and did a very thorough job explains what everything meant as well as listing and explaining all my financing options. Between the amazing price and the quality of service, from my first inquiry about the car to signing the paperwork, i couldn't be happier with my decision to buy from The Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships. I could not find this level of service here in Dayton and am a customer for life. More
I wanted to take a minute to write to you to praise one of your associates, Amy Rosengarten. Yesterday,( 1-9-14) on a trip from Columbus to Chicago, the alternator in my Denali went out leaving me not only of your associates, Amy Rosengarten. Yesterday,( 1-9-14) on a trip from Columbus to Chicago, the alternator in my Denali went out leaving me not only stranded but with a trip to Chicago that needed to happen that day. I called ahead, Amy helped me to find a tow service and found out that the alternator was, not in stock. I figured that no way at 1:00 PM, was I going to get fixed up that day. When I finally got to your dealership And I walked the door and said “ I have an alternator problem” Amy said “Denali?” and told me she thought I would be in soon and had reserved a spot for me and that she would get me in pronto. She did, and while I was surfing for hotels in Lima she came in and gave me the price and told me the alternator was on the way, and I would be good to go shortly! Not only did she do an outstanding job, but I was also impressed with the overall demeanor of all your people!. Very friendly and accommodating. I own several companies and own many GM cars and trucks, my loyalty to GM is amply paid back with service like you and Amy provide! This morning, my staff, when they found out I didn’t have to overnight in Lima, said I was lucky. Luck had nothing to do with it, Amy Rosengarten did. More
I had a great experience working with Bill Hoffman in selecting my car! He made sure I knew how each car worked and how the different styles compared in performance vs luxury. She did most of the paperwork portion of the deal and really knew her stuff! I felt good with my purchase when she was able to explain all the ins and outs. All-in-all they were both very patient and I was very satisfied and got a great deal on a great car!!! More
i had a very good experience with this dealership i had a very good experience with this dealership found a used chevrolet truck on the lot and was very interested in the truck they gave me a g i had a very good experience with this dealership found a used chevrolet truck on the lot and was very interested in the truck they gave me a great deal on trade in the only problem that i encountered was after the sale after listing on website the trade in i was looking at the auto check report and noticed a discrepancy in the report and immediately called john. he said not to worry about it because we have already traded it in and i should not be concerned about the report i explained to him that the accident report was wrong and that the accident did not happen in franklin and was not towed from scene he said again in a negative tone not to worry about it i explained to him that if i was looking at the vehicle i would wonder how much damage was actually done to the frame etc some times when a vehicle is towed it could be substantial damage al that happened was the fender was damaged from a deer running in to it i think that it should be corrected so----take it for what it is worth it could make the difference in whether to purchase or not john needs to change his "after sale" attitude More

Found via the Tom Ahl website. Visited the dealership. Test drove the vehicle that was all it was advertised to be.
