Unfortunately, when we were shuttled back to Tony Honda to pick up our car, we were informed that the necessary repair was not performed due to a bolt defect, and we will have to bring the car in again when the part comes in. Disappointing and somewhat inconvenient as we work 7 days a week and provide full-time eldercare. More

Inspection of a 2007 Honda Civic I recently changed the oil and oil filter on my dad’s 2007 Civic. I am appalled and incensed to find what the maintenace crew did to the car. First, t I recently changed the oil and oil filter on my dad’s 2007 Civic. I am appalled and incensed to find what the maintenace crew did to the car. First, the drain plug was overtighten with a impact gun. I had to use a chisel and a ball peen hammer to loosen it. Believe me I know how take it off coz all oil drain plugs have reverse threads on them so you go counter-clockwise when it off. The next thing I had diffuculty in taking off was the oil filter. It was so tight that I had to clamp the oil filter wrench hard to almost put a puncture hole through it. Then lastly, the fillet cap on the engine housing was also over tighten as well. Also, I don’t remember my sister who made the appointment for my dad in regards to trouble shooting the a/c system. I also found out the problem to the blower not operating after the inspection and oil change at Tony Honda Waipio. They the mechanic took the fuse out and not replace it back where it belongs. I did not take the fuse out. I’ve decided to postpone fixing the a/c system myself for this year. But the a/c blower did work before it went in for servicing last October 2017. I couldn’t believe their mechanic would do such a thing like this. I think I know why. They probably ran out of the same type of fuse that the a/c system they were working on another similar model like my dad’s and they were lazy to order it or wait for the fuse part to come in so they decided to cannibalize it from dad’s car coz it’s the esiest thing to do since it had low miles and we weren’t using the a/c system at that time anyway. I will make sure all my friends at school and at work and family members know not to take it to Tony Honda Waipio for any maintenance servcing. This will also be reported to the BBB as well. On top of it, they charged us a lousey $259. for a piss-poor service that I could have done the job the right way. Such amatuerish mechanics. More
