Stressful to blissful first time buying experience I suffered a sort of tragic week coinciding with my final week of my job. My car's engine broke and the cost to replace was too much to justify. Fed up with all of the hassles of repairing a used car, I decided to make my first time purchase of a brand new car. Under a time crunch of wanting to get loan approval while still "employed" yet wanting to do my research as this was my first major car purchase, this was a very stressful few days. My neighbor is an avid car guy and recommended Scott Matsuoka, who came in to save the day for us. After snooty behavior from other salesmen (both from Pacific Honda and Tony Honda), Scott was very straightforward, honest, and patient with us which made the negotiation process smooth and stress free. He had even come in on his vacation upon my neighbors referral to help us close the deal! Scott has shown real care and honesty throughout the sale and I am happy to say that my first-time new car purchase has turned out to be a great experience. I would definitely recommend Scott to any of my friends and family for any of their future car purchases! He takes care! Just a note for why I would rate this place a 4-star instead of a 5-star experience: I had come here the night before closing the deal with Scott and was met by salesman Jason Lee. My mom made it known up front that we were not intending to purchase that night and we were just looking for more information on the car. He seemed to put his wall up with us and didn't even offer to give us an idea on pricing, refused to negotiate, and told us to let him know when we were "more serious." It was a complete waste of time and I was very upset leaving that night. Lucky thing that we got the referral from Scott because in all honesty, if we went back and had to work with Jason again, we might've looked elsewhere. More

It saved me a chunk of change for a taxi and I did appreciate the effort. Kathleene was courteous and patient. The finance/paperwork guy was fine. My patience was wearing thin at that point, and the maintenance prices he was throwing out disturbed me. Most everything was fine but there are a few issues that need to be addressed: 1. During the buying process, if I am going to be led around like a sheep on a rope from one person to another, have the courtesy to inform me of your process to begin with. When I was introduced to the third person I had had enough and was ready to walk. After finishing up with the finance guy (person 3) I am shuffled back to person 2...??? 2. Your routine maintenance charges are outrageous, even for Hawaii. I will shop around for better deals elsewhere. 3. When I get over $2500 of options installed on my vehicle, you should at least wash the damned thing prior to installing them! Really? Did I move to a third world country or is this Tony Honda's typical service reserved for their best Honda customers??? My Honda in Arizona was washed each time it hit the maintenance lanes at the Honda dealership there. Perhaps one of the islands other Honda Dealers can come near that level of service. More

2016 Honda Odyssey EX-L From start to finish, our sales associate, Sonia Diaz-Ruiz, was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. She is very personable a From start to finish, our sales associate, Sonia Diaz-Ruiz, was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. She is very personable and treated my family, 3 kiddos included, with care and understanding. She was not pushy, and we appreciated that. She took the time to show us what was available in the lot, as well as looked up what was available in storage. She made sure we were informed on what options were available to us, as far as the various models of 2016 Honda Odysseys. She also made sure we were informed on what kind of finance options we had available to us. After meeting with her on Sunday, we went home and discussed our finance options, and decided on which model we wanted. We came back on Wednesday, and specifically asked for Sonia. She went above and beyond for us, so that we can come to a deal that both the sales manager and we can agree with. Afterwards, we worked with Kathleene Cipriano, to discuss accessories. She was very knowledgeable and detailed. She gave us her honest opinion, pros, and cons with the accessories. Kathleene made the picking and choosing process very easy. We returned the next morning to pick up our freshly detailed new Odyssey. Sonia took her time to make sure we knew the basics of operating our new van. She showed us the key functions and how to start the vehicle. She even set both mine and my husbands phone to the blue tooth feature. She made sure we were comfortable with the dash functions before driving off. We are extremely satisfied with our experience at Honda, and working with Sonia and Kathleene. Both were very easy to talk to and treated us like family. We highly recommend them, and will definitely seek them out if we are ever in the market for another Honda or for more Honda accessories. I am very thankful to have gone through the process of trading in a vehicle, and the purchase of a 2016 Honda Odyssey SE with Mr. Matt Chong to guide me through the sales and in selecting a vehicle fit for my family. I really commend Matt with how he communicated not only with me, but would also go out of his way to keep my family informed throughout the whole process and make sure we were all on the same page. Mr. Arnel Belonia also helped to accustom me with the techy features of this new van. We'd highly recommend this location to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. More
