He was knowledgeable about the cars and patient with my questions and I felt like he really wanted to help me find the right car without forcing me to test drive it or sit down with numbers like the previous dealers. He introduced me to Mr. Smiley, who knew more than I thought to ask about the car. He was funny and really knew his stuff. Together they helped me find the right car at a great deal too. They worked together as a beautiful (mentor/mentee) team--which I really respect and am grateful for. It added that extra "awesomness" to the whole experience. More

Could Not Ask For a Better Car Buying Experience! I inquired online about the new 2017 Elantra and John Travis responded very quickly. He setup a test drive for me with Richard Nakanishi on Black Friday. The test drive was great with the Elantra, but the car I really wanted for a few years now was the Sonata. Luckily the dealership still had a 2016 Sonata with all the features I wanted in the Elantra that they were trying to get off the lot since it was last years model. I new the MSRP with the updated package and accessories so I thought it was out of my range. I took it for a test drive and obviously loved it more than the smaller Elantra. Since I asked about the Sonata without Richard trying to upsell me on the car, he was not pushy and was able to provide discounts and incentives on the 2016 Sonata Limited with the help of Dennis Ferreira. I had a trade-in vehicle also which was not in the best condition at all, but they were able to give me a good trade-in value. Together they worked to provide me numbers on both the 2017 Elantra Limited and 2016 Sonata Limited. Since they knew I really wanted the Sonata, they were able to give me a GREAT deal that was hard to pass up on. In the end I drove out happily with the car that I wanted at a great price and even greater customer service from John, Dennis, and especially Ricard Nakanishi. I will definitely recommend Hyundai vehicles, Tony Hyundai Honolulu, and Richard Nakanishi for their vehicle needs. Go see they guys! Not Your Everyday Dealership In most instance when you walk into a dealership you have thought long & hard on choice of cars you consider buying and try to not think about the pro In most instance when you walk into a dealership you have thought long & hard on choice of cars you consider buying and try to not think about the process. In my experience painful. But not so the case with the Beretania Street Branch. Not only a welcome by the Service Personnel before you even walk into the Salesroom, but a very personable Richard met us at the door. Very professional, not at all pushy, listened and I mean listened to my wishes, not only the car but the process. Was not going to go thru the normal sales experience just stated what I wanted, how I wanted to proceed and he took it from there. In the next few days he worked with his management and came up with exactly the car I needed, the flow of communication was constant, respectful and professional. After my purchase of the car I continued to receive calls on how the car was working out for me and if there was anything else I can do. Regarding credit card, was only allowed to use $5K. Preference would have been 100%. I would also make note that the rest of the staff was inclusive, saying hello, a very very friendly atmosphere all around. Team needs to be congratulated in every way. I have nothing negative to report. Enough said. More
