Used their website on Friday night to do the paperwork for a purchase via TexasBuyPass - they ran a credit report and offered me financing terms, I confirmed and set an appointment to do paperwork. Monday afternoon I called to confirm the appointment and to ensure that the vehicle actually existed - it was listed as 'sold' on the website and I didn't want to waste my time driving to the lot. I was assured that it was on the lot and the appointment was confirmed for me. I then received an e-mail about the appointment as well. Tuesday - drove an hour through rush hour traffic to the lot, no vehicle. Not even an apology, the guy tried to blame unnamed "new guys" for lying to me on the phone. They started on the "but you can order" spiel as I walked out. So I wasted an hour each direction, gas and got a hard credit pull for absolutely no reason. What's the point of TexasBuyPass if it's not real? Why would you lie to me on the phone to get me to come out, when you don't have any of the vehicle I'm interested in? More

Anuj was great during the finance process of the vehicle and worked with me to ensure that i was able to help negotiate the deal i was looking for, within the parameters that I wanted to hit. He was very personable, not pushy or utilizing tactics to push me in a direction, and when i pushed back against something he respected my opinion and made me feel equal. He negotiated a great financing package with different banks for me and went to bat to ensure i got the best rate possible. My fiance and I own our own business, so the verification of funding/payroll/expenses etc. can be revolving and he was able to navigate this in order to create a smooth buying experience. Would love to work with him again in the future. I am not sure what area of the business Vinny works in directly, i understand that he was maybe the manager on the pre-owned side or of the internet sales but in any case he was also incredible. He saved the deal 100% and is the reason that i stayed to finish buying the vehicle. I already had my mind made up that I was not going to buy this truck and i was going to move on to another vehicle based on my experience with michael up to this point. But when Vinny came over he was reasonable, personable, down to earth and did not have an ounce of "car business slyness" in him, i know obviously he still was pushing for the dealer and sales person to make money on the deal, which is fine but he wasn't trying to unnecesarily take advantage of the consumer. Very awesome guy. My only negative feedback about my experience with Town East was centered around Michael, my sales person. I am not trying to be the unreasonable client or customer, as i referenced my fiance and i own our own business but i really want to provide this feedback in the interest of helping grow the employee for a better experience for everyone else moving forward. I understand that Michael is a great salesmen and that he probably posts very high numbers at Town East and generates a lot of revenue but he very much embodies and exemplifies everything that everyone hates about the car buying experience. The entire time that i was trying to coordinate purchasing this vehicle in the 3 days leading up to me coming to Town East he was always bothered and put out by my questions, and continually kept reminding me how busy he was, how many clients he had, how he didnt have time for this in between appointments etc etc. and the only thing he was interested in was trying to get me into the dealer in person. Which is great thats fine i get it, but everyone nowadays myself included is not going to respond to the pushy sales tactics and template matching trying to get a customer in the door as fast as possible, set the appointment and close a deal. I was traveling over 1000 miles for work in the 3 days that i was in texas and i needed to get as much information as possible before i drove to the other side of dallas and rescheduled meetings. Once i was there in person he was not very nice, nor personable, nor helpful, nor even excited really once i purchased my vehicle. Everything to him felt like an obligation and that i should be thanking him for the opportunity to buy a car from him. In todays market and car business people are just over this attitude from salesman and the car buying tactics. The only reason i bought from town east is because this was the best vehicle and the one i was most interested in, i went to four other dealers prior trying to find a different deal that i could work solely because of how michael handled everything leading up to our encounter. Once i was there Vinny and Anuj saved the deal but he desperately needs to work on his attitude and leave the car sales attitude and tactics in the '90s. I didnt want to leave Town East a bad review based upon his performance solely because everyone else was great so i still awarded the 5 stars but it was only because of the other partners. More
