Michael,   As a business owner, I am sure you have experienced unfortunate short falls when it comes to things going as smoothly as you would like as errors can occur.  Our goal is to provide the highest level of customer service possible.  Craig has been a top member of our staff for the last 7 years.  He has received numerous awards for excellent customer service and sales, so this was quite a shock to hear.  Upon review of your claims, we found some inconsistencies.  You requested information on a specific vehicle we had in stock that was heavily discounted as a result of the time it had been available for sale.  It is a common practice to reduce the price on the older merchandise.  Upon receipt your purchase request, there were several exchanges of information between us and yourself; up to and including a video that not only displayed the vehicle and its equipment, but also provided proof of its availability and disclosed the miles on the truck.  This is a practice we have incorporated in order to make it easier to provide as much information to our customers as possible in a timely fashion that is convenient and thorough.  A price was pre-negotiated and agreed upon.  Having had all of this information exchanged over the 3 day period of time, you were still unsure on your decision of whether or not to purchase, so we scheduled an appointment to show the vehicle in person.  Upon your visit you explained your need to speak with your wife before making a final decision.  Having an opportunity to purchase the truck, but choosing not to, is a decision you are absolutely entitled to.  We cannot and will not force anyone to make a decision they are not comfortable making.  Later that day, another customer we had similar exchanges with arrived to look at the same vehicle, but they decided the offer was acceptable to them and chose to buy it.   As a business owner, would you tell a willing and capable customer to come back another day, so that an unwilling customer can have a few more days to think about it?  Not only would we lose the customer we have in front of us that is ready, we still held no certainty that you would be willing to buy.  There was no clear certainty that your wife wouldn’t have had an objection, since you still hadn’t spoken with her.  We would’ve thought that over the 3 days of exchanging information, the video, etc. that a discussion may have occurred prior to your appointment, to allow the deal to be completed upon your scheduled arrival.  As a rule, we do not hold vehicles with or without a deposit, because we would have no rights to retain the deposit if you decided against the purchase in the state of Texas.  Hence the reason we don’t request or suggest one.    We apologized multiple times that the additional time you needed to make a decision, resulted in someone else buying the car sooner.  We offered you the same discounts on a fresh unit that had just arrived, however we were unable to offer the exact same rebates from Ford, because they did not exist on the newer inventory as the age in inventory adds additional rebates to lower the price.  At that point, you became confrontational and threatened to bad mouth us on social media if we didn’t do as you demanded.  We made the decision to not move forward, being that it is extremely important to have a good working relationship with our clients and not just focus scoring the sale.  We with 100% certainty honored everything we said we would do.  We provided you the same opportunity to make the decision to buy the truck as anyone else shopping online and unfortunately the time you needed resulted in missed opportunity.  Management
