I went into Ford of Greenfield to look at a ford focus sedan. I recieved a quote online at a price I couldn't beat anywhere. Sadly the vehicle that I was looking at didn't suit my needs. I used Trucar.com to start my vehicle shopping. I recieved 3 quotes from 3 dealeships that had the vehicle and the best price was presented by Toyota of Greenfield. I called the dealership and was pr recieved 3 quotes from 3 dealeships that had the vehicle and the best price was presented by Toyota of Greenfield. I called the dealership and was promptly taken care of by a wonderful receptionist whose name I cannot recall but she set me up with Ken Kavanaugh. Ken and I spoke on the phone and he could not have been more pleasent. He sent me a copy of the window sticker for a vehicle which was not the exact one that I wanted. This went on for 3 emails until I was able to describe to Ken the exact vehicle I wanted. We spoke several more times on the phone and I knew even before I went to the dealership what the approximate price on the vehicle was going to be. I actually loved that because I knew walking in what I had to work with. I went to see Ken on a Wednesday evening, July 3 and I could not have been more pleased with his easy going attitude. There was absolutely no pressure from him or anybody in that dealership. We had aggreed that he would check out my trade which he did and I was given a number of what I would get for the vehicle I was traing in. That deal was acceptible to me. Needless to say that I walked out of there with the understanding that I was going to buy my Toyota Camry from Ken at Toyota of Greenfield. I am not sure that I got the best deal but honestly from my experience with the dealership I just didn't feel I needed to go anywhere else. Maybe I could have argued the price a bit more down. Or maybe I could have made Toyota of Greenfield fight for my sale since I had gone to Balise prior to going to Toyota of Greenfield. But what sold me on the car was not the car it self but the completely unexpected customer service. I have bought many cars throughout the last 10 years and this has been by far the most pleasent car buying experience that I have ever had. The experience did not stop with Ken, after I came in to pick up the car on July 5th I had to work with Ryan in finance. Once again I was taken by surprise at how pleasent he was as well. Now I know that these folks job is to sell. After all this is how they make their money and stay affloat. Ryan went throught the finance paperwork with me and clearly indicated what I was to expect. He made the statement about the extened warrantee and what I would get with it which I of course declined. And the amazing part was that he was completely ok with that. In any other place they would be cramming that warrantee down my throat. But he did not even flinch. Now all that said, why did I chose to buy my car from Toyota of Greenfield? Because I have had many experiences with car buying and needless to say that most of them have not been pleasent. In most cases it felt like a necessary evil. And from the moment I started to communicate with Toyota of Greenfield my experiences were possitive one after the other. In this day in age I am sure that most will aggree that good customer service is very hard to find. Great customer service is virtually impossible, or so I thought until I went to Toyota of Greenfield. So in essense they dit not sell me a car, they sold me on the experience. So did I get the best deal? Maybe, maybe not. But did that matter as much as the whole buying experience? Not to me. In my opinion, it is sometimes better to pay a bit more and get the service taht you deserve then to get the absolute lowest price and no customer service. You want people that care when you need them. I am guessing based on my experiece with Toyota of Greenfield that these are the folks you want to deal with. I live about 40 miles away from this dealership if not more. I am going to do my best to have them service my car. My guess is that my experience with them will be as good. If you are in the market for a Toyota or Ford I highly recomment that you give Toyota of Greenfield an opportunity to serve you. Luis Rosa More
