I recently had my oil changed at Jack Safro Toyota. I sat down and about twenty minutes later, someone came up to me. This man represented himself as James Balfe, the service manager. He was very eager to tr down and about twenty minutes later, someone came up to me. This man represented himself as James Balfe, the service manager. He was very eager to try and sell me services for my vehicle that I feel are un-necessary. The so called "Nitrogen" they advertise for tires is air. He told me that if I don't put this nitrogen in my tires, they could become underinflated and blow out on the side of the road. I'm a fairly reasonable person when it comes to servicing my vehicles, I always buy my filters and do my tire rotations. But this just takes the cake for me! I've been coming to this dealership for years, and have bought four vehicles here. I've never once felt so pressured in my life to buy something! I can't honestly believe this man tried to scare me into buying something. I'm never going to this dealership again because of this experience!! what's happening over at Jack Safro?? I always use to feel comfortable, these people used to be honest! More
My experience with Jack Safro has been far from positive. I ordered a vehicle from the salesman Ely Faretta after we agreed on a price and signed a purchase contract. I waited eight months before I finall I ordered a vehicle from the salesman Ely Faretta after we agreed on a price and signed a purchase contract. I waited eight months before I finally cancelled. During this time I repeatedly inquired about the vehicle and why it was taking so long. All Ely had to say was he didn't know and the sales manager Greg Panas insulted me by saying I wasn't being logical.....what, really! Eight months and I was being illogical. Also, it seems to me some of the employees at Jack Safro have an overall bad attitude towards the customers. As if we are trash and they are royalty. Thankfully I did receive my deposit back. I think people would do well not going to Jack Safro. Their pricing is not good and their service is terrible, not to mention the parts department. More

I initially dealt with Pete Wahlen on-line and very much appreciated how quickly he responded to my questions and how complete and straightforward his answers were. I was also in communication with several other dealers on-line and Pete was the one who really told me what I wanted to know. After several e-mails, I called and went in for a test drive of exactly the vehicle I was looking at. Pete did not try to talk me into something fancier, we chatted about why I wanted what I chose and as I test drove the car he explained very simply and clearly how the features worked. Very pleasant conversation, honest right up front about pricing and availability. I have always HATED shopping for vehicles and this was probably the most pleasant shopping experience I've ever had! I traded in a vehicle and his trade-in offer was exactly what I had found when I looked on-line. I would recommend Pete and Jack Safro to anyone I know looking for a vehicle. More
Pete Whalen is a great at getting the best deals for you. He does not xx you around like a lot of other dealers he will let you know if the deal that a different dealer has on the same car is true or not. Most customers can only dream of being treated in the manner that Safro Toyota demonstrates to all of their valued customers. I recently contacted Pete to express a interest in purchasing a new 2012 Camry for my wife. From the start of the process (taking a test drive) to the conclusion (purchasing a new XLE Camry) my wife and I were once again totally impressed with Pete's dedication and professionalism. At this dealership, your business is valued, and all employees treat customer's with a level of appreciation only a Safro dealership can deliver. They did it again! I bought my first Toyota from Eric Glenn and Jack Safro Toyota in 2001, and I travelled from Chicago to purchase it. Not only did they have the best price, they were responsive and treated me with such respect and integrity - no other dealer came close to impressing me. In September, I contacted Eric Glenn again (believe it or not, he was still there!) and indicated that I had had such a phenomenal experience 10 years ago that I was compelled to call again. Jack Safro Toyota did not disappoint. I negotiated a price for my new car and for my 10-year old trade in over the phone – I felt that I received great deals on both transactions and was not taken advantage of (as a female, that is always a risk). Clint Haberman then stepped in and located the new Highlander I wanted, with the options and color I specified over the phone. Clint treated me with the same customer service and respect that I have come to expect from Jack Safro Toyota. He scheduled my pick up and came in hours before his schedule dictated to meet my scheduling needs (as I was again driving up from Chicago). My paperwork was ready when I arrived and Don Wright was very efficient and informative. Clint then very patiently (and in great detail) walked me through the many features of my new Highlander (he even paired my phone with the car). I cannot thank the team enough for another outstanding experience: their integrity and respectfulness are unmatched – I recommend Jack Safro Toyota to friends, family and colleagues, and am even contemplating driving the 100 miles from Chicago to do my service when at all possible. It is so hard to find a service department you can trust - if the service department operates under the same customer service guidelines as new car sales, how could I go wrong! More
