Had an oil change and manufacturer warranty work done. While dropping the car off was asked if there are any other concerns, so I asked if they can look at the breaks to see if they are OK (a lot of city driving). Was told it's a routine check anyway, so no problem. When went to pick up the car, they didn't do a break check because they have to take the tires off to do it - then why say it's a part of the routine check to begin with and set false expectations? If I knew that, I would've requested a formal check and paid for it. Once I got into the car, there was a thick grease smudge on the steering wheel and the starter button. Furthermore, a day later the "maintenance required" light went on again in the car. The service manager (Jim B.) tried to remedy the sloppy work experience by promising a free-of-charge car clean and break inspection. He did pick up the car himself and left me a car to drive to/from work that day and took care of the break inspection. However, the car was not cleaned. In addition, somebody left an empty can of soda in the console. Sloppy work all around even given a second chance, not what I would expect from a big name dealership. Will service my toyotas elsewhere from now on.
