Service was friendly and courteous. Tech, Kris, listened respectfully and did not rush my questions or his explanation of what was going to be done along with recommendations. Austin Bivins was amazing! Very friendly and to the point. He answered every question I had with a smile on his face. Recommending him to family and friends. Very friendly and to the point. He answered every question I had with a smile on his face. Recommending him to family and friends. More
After reading reviews, I was hoping to have a similar pleasant experience. Unfortunately that was not the case. This is not a review from just one visit, but two different visits in person and the thir pleasant experience. Unfortunately that was not the case. This is not a review from just one visit, but two different visits in person and the third by phone. It all started out by finding a vehicle on-line that showed to be in stock. Drove to the dealership and spoke with a sales associate. I was shocked when I was told that most of the vehicles that are listed on-line are actually not there, nor are they even available. I was confused at first as I would assume that it would be false advertisement saying that you have something for sale, when in all reality you don't. Regardless, I decided to tell the sales person to let me know if there are any that they get allotted from the manufacturer. Needless to say I have never heard back again. I assume that since it is a sellers market that there is no need to work for a sale as someone else will come along. Apparently customer service is a thing of the past. I had decided that I would just take my money to another dealership. A family member heard of my unfavorable experience there and said, "I am saddened to hear this, I worked for one of the used sales managers that is now there. Let me contact him and see what he says." I was pleasantly surprised that I got a phone call later that day and he apologized for my previous experience. He told me that he was going to have a sales rep reach out to me and get me taken care of. Sales rep contacted me and even sent me a spec sheet and said that I just needed to come in and put a deposit down on that vehicle. I picked up my wife and headed into the store, all while staying in contact with the rep that was going to meet me. Show up and I am told that he is an internet sales rep and that this other salesman was going to handle the spec sheet and the money down to put the vehicle in our name. Long story short, he tells us that the vehicle that was spec'd out for us is not available, however they have this other one that is better. I allowed him to give his pitch, however I do my research when it comes to major purchases. I have to admit it was entertaining to hear him bad mouth the leather quality of the model we wanted compared to this other model. Yet he couldn't say much when I showed him that it was the exact same leather on both models. Then comes more pitches of the "better" model. Yet once again I told him that it is the exact same thing on the model that we wanted. I politely told him, we want the one that we came to put money down on. He said well let me go talk to his sales manager. After a while, he comes back and states that there are none of those models within 3000 miles (Seattle is only 2100 miles) so I guess he meant in the Nation. So once again we got up and left and were completely disappointed with the customer service of Toyota of Cedar Park. Not even 5 minutes from leaving we get a phone call from the "sales manager". I allowed it to go to voicemail and would call him back the next day when I had sometime to have a calm and collected mind. I call him back the following morning and he said that he had heard what had happened and was truly sorry for the way that we were treated. Being a public servant, I will always give someone the opportunity to make things right before writing about my experiences to hopefully save them the time and frustration. Well the sales manager says that he can get the model that we were originally told. He said that it could take six to eight weeks to get one, but was not completely certain it would be here in that time frame. So needless to say, I may or may not get one. Although he said that if the manufacturer produced this model in the color that we wanted, that he could get it from another dealer. I asked if he was willing to do anything for the type of service that we received. He said that he would have to talk to his sales managers. So I guess that he wasn't a sales managers, even though that is what he stated on the voicemail. To make things right, Toyota of Cedar Park said that they wouldn't make me put money down to reserve the "upgraded model" which was never an issue in the first place. So this is what customer service looks like at Toyota of Cedar Park. From another dealership, I have been told that the vehicles listed online for sale are actually not put on by the dealership but by the manufacturer. I don't know if this is a fact, however I would always call before going to a dealership as they may not have any of the vehicles that they show are for sale. More
