I was looking for a pickup or suv so I got on the internet and was checking out all the deaerships and came across toyota of Des Moines and seen a 2001 explorer that I thought might be in my payment internet and was checking out all the deaerships and came across toyota of Des Moines and seen a 2001 explorer that I thought might be in my payment range, I emailed Tom and realy didnt think I could afford the payments but Tom insured me he thought I could be in the range we spoke about,Tom said come in and look at it so my wife and I came in the next day and Tom was not in so he let me test drive it I believe on monday I fell in love with it and we did some paper work on it and I called Vince on tuesday and said we were approved and got a better rate then the night before putting us where we needed to be, We came in about 645pm and sigbed the paper work with the finance department and drove my suv that night. I used CarBargains.com to negotiate with 10 dealers in central Iowa to find the best price on a 2011 Highlander SE AWD. Based on research I had done, I received the best price available within $100 in ou central Iowa to find the best price on a 2011 Highlander SE AWD. Based on research I had done, I received the best price available within $100 in our area for recent sales. Toyota of Des Moines had the best quote bid. (The highest bid was over $800 higher) I called the dealership on a Wednesday to inquire that they still had the exact Highlander we wanted. Scott Jenkins worked with me on the deal. Scott called back a short time later and indicated they did and we confirmed the CarBargains.com price over the phone then. He was very professional, polite and easy to work with. We setup a time on Friday to look at the vehicle and test drive it. Scott offered us what CarBargains indicated our trade-in was worth - no haggling or hassle. We then set an appointment on Saturday afternoon to pick up the Highlander. Larry Middleton in finance was helpful, too. He was able to locate us a loan at a lower rate than the rock bottom credit union offer we had - plus we got to keep the rebate! Scott gave us a tour of the dealership and answered all our questions. This was the best car buying experience ever! We love our new Highlander and look forward to receiving more great service from Toyota of Des Moines! More
