Road trip & repairs We traveled up from Southern California and once arrived, we had that nightmare situation where the engine light goes on and it says ‘service engine s We traveled up from Southern California and once arrived, we had that nightmare situation where the engine light goes on and it says ‘service engine soon’. Since we just had our Toyota RAV4 2007 serviced one week earlier before we left for our 1000 mile trip, we hadn’t given a second thought to the fact that we may face an emergency situation. We drove into Gladstone Toyota immediately to assess the situation...a leaking transmission oil pan, a cylinder misfiring, which required a new coil...in addition, changed the spark plugs. Also found our rear shocks to be leaking and the front struts needing to be replaced. Parts and labor all to a hefty tune of almost $3000. Not exactly the news we were hoping to hear. But the team at Gladstone Toyota was great!! Understanding our situation, they took our car and gave us a rental to use while they worked on repairs. They understood our financial situation and together we worked out a financial plan that was affordable and benefited both parties. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and delivered our RAV4 back to us within less time than anticipated. Underpromised and Overdeliverd. We have owned Toyota’s for over 30 years and have always received the highest customer service in the industry at every dealership we have encountered. Gladstone Toyota did not disappoint that reputation. Thank you to you guys! We appreciate the care and thoughtfulness you demonstrated towards us in an unsolicited stressful situation we were facing.
