Knew the car and the competitors. Willing to commit time to make sure we understood the car features and were comfortable in our car choice. Left the test drive committed to come back and purchase the car. Buying trip a disappointing experience. Had to spend over 2 hours haggling and hassling. Hate being asked what I "think is fair to pay for the car". That isn't my job. Give me a good price and let me decide. Trade in value was quoted as 2k below low-end of the email quote provided by dealer's own internet team. I was very explicit that I wanted an all-in number, we agreed to that number and then price sheet showed that number + $700 more in fees. Never showed me the total price on the sales sheet that day (did it on calculator and promised it would be very close to that number). Never discussed extended warranty with me, then tried to sell my wife on it when she came to pick up the car the next day. Would have bought it either way, but didn't appreciate the process. Think that is why he didn't write the price on the sheet the day before. Overall, I would say that I love the car and thought the salesman was knowledgable and helpful, but sales process was a diappointment. More
