As well the staff and management were very friendly and made me feel like a part of the "family" so to say... great experience, would definately consider buying my next vehicle from them again. More
My father and i walked in to look for my 1st car. I had didnt no exactly what i wanted yet, but my father let me know if he was going to buy it that it had to be a toyota. There i was helped by mrs. lorena didnt no exactly what i wanted yet, but my father let me know if he was going to buy it that it had to be a toyota. There i was helped by mrs. lorena c i think it was. She helped us out in finding the right car for me, and really took the time and had patients with me beacuase i was very unsure and probably annoying. So i was undecided betweent he corolla and camry. The sales lady lorena really stayed and made me understand the pros and cons of both. i would never write a review but i just appriciated her goood help because i can be a hard customer. She deserves me to take out 5 mins of my time to let her know i like her work. I ended up buyin a tundra by the way. =). More

I was researching buying a car for a long while before an absolute commuting emergency sent me to Toyota Hackensack on a very short notice. My experience on the sales floor was frustrating and the finance de absolute commuting emergency sent me to Toyota Hackensack on a very short notice. My experience on the sales floor was frustrating and the finance department was woefully incompetent. I cannot overemphasize how incompetent the finance department was. Please scroll to the third paragraph for a more detailed explanation about how the FINANCE DEPARTMENT is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY INCOMPETENT. On the sales floor, I was helped by Lorena C and Peter Pepin. Lorena C's attitude ranged from blatantly inattentive to customer needs to downright rude. Much of her suggestions were based on her assumptions of me as a person (age, occupation, etc) and the car I previously drove. In addition, when I asked legitimate questions about the offer they presented to me, her attitude became belittling and rude as if it was an outrage that I had the audacity to question the quote the provided for me. Mind you, I called several dealerships including Toyota of Hackensack for a quote on the car before I walked into the dealership, so I had an idea of what an acceptable price range would have been. I was later helped by Peter Pepin who was at least made an effort to be outwardly friendly and engaging although I suspect that they were not being entirely truthful about not having a very popular car in stock (they tried to sell me the car in a different trim, which was more expensive). They called another dealership about having that car in stock, and they told me that it was not available. I did not call to verify, but it seemed somewhat dubious that two dealerships would not have this car in stock. However, the worst part of the experience was dealing with the finance department. I cannot remember the name of the guy that helped me, but I honestly cannot believe that anybody this incompetent can possibly keep a job. He had to reprint the invoice well over 10 times, because they were littered with serious errors. I'm talking about him actually handing me an invoice for a Corolla where the amount financed plus the down payment and all fees was over $25,000 dollars. I understand making mistakes on the job after a long day, but he could not even catch SERIOUS MAJOR MISTAKES before handing me a contract to look over. While such gross incompetence is appalling, I honestly hope it was incompetence and not some sneaky attempt to have tired customers agree to pay an amount that was absolutely and ridiculously over the quoted amount. The bottom line is that people who work in finance should know how to finance a car. The customer should not have to be the person responsible for catching the finance guy's errors over and over again. More
STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! READ OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS DEALERSHIP IN HACKENSACK BEFORE GOING THERE!!!!!These guys are like the hustlers of hustlers. I walked into the dealership to purchase a 2010 Toyota DEALERSHIP IN HACKENSACK BEFORE GOING THERE!!!!!These guys are like the hustlers of hustlers. I walked into the dealership to purchase a 2010 Toyota Camry LE. I was intereted in getting an idea of a price for the car but I couldn't get a straight answer from the guy. He demanded that I give him photo id before he gave me a hint of the price. I asked why he needed the id but he said that this dealer-buyer relationship was a "give-and-take" relationship and that he wouldn't give me a firm car price until I gave it to him. I gave him the id and he still wouldn't give me a straight answer. I told him to write the price of the car on paper but outright refused. I said I really can't purchase the car if I don't know the FINAL FINAL (walkout) price of the car in advance and that even before I make the decision my wife had to give the final OK. The second the salesperson hears this he goes into this hissy fit that he was married for 31 years and that he was the guy in the house and he decided what to buy, etc. etc. I left the auto dealership with a bad taste and not even a price to walk out it. STAY AWAY, my friends. -- This comes from a guy who NEVER writes reviews. More

My wife and I decided to look into leasing a Higlander or Sienna. She called Mary in Internet sales and indicated our budget and what our expectations were. Mary told her that they could definitely work wi Sienna. She called Mary in Internet sales and indicated our budget and what our expectations were. Mary told her that they could definitely work within our budget and to come in and see her. When we arrived at the dealership, we asked for Mary, who then referred us to a general new car sales rep and walked away. The sales rep was nice, but basically provided us with information contrary to what Mary had told us on the phone. We once again gave our budget and asked if they could work with it. The salesperson told us that he would speak to his Manager. The Manager was sitting behind his desk and did not even look up at our sales rep when speaking. Our sales rep came back and gave us a down payment and monthly payments much higher than what we proposed. We politely thanked him and got up to leave (as we had another appointment with DCH Honday of Paramus - whom we ultimately bought our car from and whom I would highly recommend). He told us to hold on and he would talk to his Manager again. Same story - except this time after stalling us for about 20 minutes - another sales rep came over to try and move the deal forward. This new rep basically told us that if we want to stay within our numbers to look at the RAV4. We explained that we did not want the RAV4 and that we called before coming in to see if our budget could sustain a Highlander or Sienna (which we were told was possible). The rep became very aggressive and spoke down to us. He even interrupted my wife. After basically insulted us - he made my wife cry. We basically got up to leave and after our original rep came over to apologize - not the manager nor Mary apologized or followed up with us. Wow. After reading these reviews, I see that we are not alone. I don't forsee this dealership being around too much longer. More
