I am very dissatisfied with my experience at Toyota of North Austin today. Before the negative parts, let me first say that my technician was very friendly, and this complaint is not related to him. Altho North Austin today. Before the negative parts, let me first say that my technician was very friendly, and this complaint is not related to him. Although, I actually can't find my technician's name in the list below. Also, on the phone I was told one technician's name and then given a different one when I arrived. But I digress on that topic. I have been a Charles Maund customer since I bought my car at this same location 2 years ago, and I've always loved the service I've received. However, things have gone SIGNIFICANTLY downhill since the Charles Maund name and management changed. I was basically left high and dry when I dropped of my car for service today. Charles Maund used to offer multiple options and customer perks such as free loaner cars, reimbursement for Ubers, quick shuttles, good communication, easily accessible information, etc. T of NA offers none of that now. When you get your car serviced, you now have to either arrange you own transportation, or use the "shuttle" service. However, today there was only one shuttle driver, so the wait was over an hour for the "free" transportation. There is no way anyone with a job could wait that long! I was forced to pay for an Uber both ways during midday and evening rush hour, on top of the high fees for my car being serviced. There were also no signs or information anywhere telling me how to find the shuttle or where to wait or anything like that. I spent 5 minutes wandering around the parking lot before I found a random chair to sit in. I eventually found some ladies at an information desk, and I asked them if there was any way I could be reimbursed for my Uber or if the shuttle could get here faster, and they said they no longer offered any of those perks once the Charles Maund named changed, and the shuttle would likely be longer than an hour wait due to traffic. This is absolutely unacceptable. I have heard bad stories about the customer service at T of NA from my friends, but now I've seen it for myself. I don't know how this dealership expects to stay in business when so many other dealerships offer significantly better service. Toyota is a nice brand, and this location has been respected in Austin for a long time. T of NA needs to step up their game or they will lose customers permanently. As for me, this is the last time I will ever be going to T of NA. More
0 STARS IF I COULD. DO NOT GO TO TOYOTA OF NORTH AUSTIN! Please listen to my suggestions and take your car to Toyota of Cedar Park instead. The difference in ser DO NOT GO TO TOYOTA OF NORTH AUSTIN! Please listen to my suggestions and take your car to Toyota of Cedar Park instead. The difference in service is NIGHT AND DAY (of course Toyota of North Austin is night). Let me tell you a little about my experience: -I called Toyota of North Austin to see how long it would take to get an estimate for my hail damage repair (This dealership is the closest to me). When I took it in, they told me it would be ready the following day. The following day close to the time they close, I called in since I had not heard back and they told me my car would not be ready until the following day. I called in the following day as I was headed to the dealership to pick up my car and they proceeded to tell me that my car would not start due to a piece being taken off of my car. The piece that was taken? It was inside of my car. At this point, I'm wondering why someone was able to get INTO my car to steal this part...? They told me they were reviewing footage and investigating it but that it was not ready. They told me they needed to order the part and that my car may not be drivable for days. A few hours later they updated me that one of their employees had stolen the piece off of my car and they were able to retrieve it and put it back onto my car. 1 day turned into 3 days during my first visit. -Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I agreed to drop off my car a few days later to be repaired. I dropped my car off and was told that in one week it would be ready and that I would receive updates. When I would call in I would be told that my hail damage was repaired, that they had all of the pieces in stock to replace on my car, that they were working on replacing the trim, that the trim HAD been replaced, etc. The ONLY thing they did was repair the dents on the main body of my car... AFTER A MONTH OF BEING WITHOUT A CAR. One month that was supposed to only be one week. I was repetitively told that things were completed that weren't and that it would only be a little longer. After a month, they told me that it would take 3 additional weeks to get the replacement trunk piece in and that I could pick my car up in the meantime. I went into the dealership to pick up my car and they told me they would not release my car to me until I paid for everything, INCLUDING THE WORK THEY HAD NOT YET DONE. I was infuriated. Infuriated is an understatement. After an hour of arguing with Ray, the man overseeing my car work at the dealership, and the manager, I was able to finally get my car after paying for just the work they did do. They stole a piece off of my car, they chipped my paint and didn't repair it, they left gold streaks of paint on my car, they had my car for 4 times longer than they told me initially only to have not even completed ANY work on my car after the first week, and they continually lied to me about the progress of the work being done. I DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU. Go to Toyota of Cedar Park. They video everything, they have great customer service, have a streamlined process, and they are honest and hard working. Don't waste your time at Toyota of North Austin. It is more than worth your time to drive 15 minutes further for a 100% better experience. If you have questions, feel free to give them a call! Unlike Toyota of North Austin, they actually answer their phone and they are more than happy to help you however they can. Since changing hands, this dealership has gone WAY downhill. More
I bought my Camry back when this was known as Charles Maund Toyota and it came with lifetime oil changes. The last time I had the car brought in they told me that they will no longer honor the lifetime Maund Toyota and it came with lifetime oil changes. The last time I had the car brought in they told me that they will no longer honor the lifetime oil changes. This new dealership was really aggressive. They told my daughter that we are now "blacklisted". So now that it was time for me to buy a new vehicle, I got one from another dealership. Never come to this dealership for anything! More
