I purchased a vehicle from this location back in 2015 and loved everything about the experience. It is 2021 now and I returned last weekend of the 4th of July to purchase a car and ended up buying a new 21 C loved everything about the experience. It is 2021 now and I returned last weekend of the 4th of July to purchase a car and ended up buying a new 21 Corolla. I have to say it was the most pleasant experience I’ve had due to the straightforwardness of my experience. There was a humorous moment where my salesman, Ayman Alshami, threw some really well rehearsed lines at me but overall he helped me pick a car out with the usual assurances promised. I would have loved it if he gave me his card at the end though so I could contact him for questions but hey, who cares about stuff like that? This is Toyota of Plano. Anyways, these assurances were reaffirmed by the finance guy afterwards so I left in a good mood. Here’s where the trouble starts. My new 21 Corolla starts experiencing some issues with the entertainment system. I decided to immediately call and book an appointment. This is when those assurances come into play. I found out I was lied to about some important details involving loaner cars when coming in for maintenance. Now I believed what I was told but on a whim when making this appointment, I wanted to be sure and ask the person “will I get a car if I have to drop off?” Answer is simply, “I don’t know.” So I call the next morning before my appointment to ask and I am told no. I have to reschedule for the weekend because of this answer. When I call I ask again, this time I’m told idk again, then another person tells me no. Okay, no loaner, whatever. A rep calls me to find out more about the situation and I give him the simple details of what's happening. God, if there’s one thing I loved in this interaction it was the condescending advice this guy gave was amazing to listen to. As if I wouldn’t try and self diagnose the problem before choosing to drop my vehicle off for the weekend without any loaner. Additionally, he gives me some random time (8:00 am) for the appointment which is completely wrong from the time I agreed upon. I have a text confirmation to prove what the proper time (10:30) was. I tell him I want to get the car checked, because in my mind I purchased it 4 days ago and it’s having issues already. Just a day after I have to reschedule again so I call in but find out my appointment no longer exists. Now I can speculate about what happened but at this point I call it quits. If you shop here, make sure to get everything in writing. Shame on me for just trusting everybody due to my previous experience. I learned a great lesson here, thank you Ayman Alshami and thank you Toyota family. More
Rahshaan is the best! Rodents had gotten into my engine and ate up a large amount of my wires. With not knowing if the amount of damage could be fixed and if so at what cost would it be to fix. To top it off there were no rental cars available in Texas which left me with an extreme amount of anxiety but Rahshaan was able to get me a rental and put my worries of the car at ease. Plano will be my home of service from now on. More
