3/7/2017 It's been exactly 28 days since I bought this 2013 Toyota Rav4 on February 8th my birthday and has not made my first payment, yet and I’m having this major issue with the car.. This is the second issue. Firstly, the hop-cap fell just a week after I bought the car and I drove the car back to Toyota of Richardson and it was replaced. Since then, I have not had any issues. My work is 15mins drive and my school is 20 minutes’ drive. I bought the car with full tank of gas and has fuel the car once till this day. I am not a reckless drive and has never been on my accident or a ticket ever in my life. I parked this car Sunday 03/05/17 at 9pm and when I got up in the morning to go to work, the car won’t start. At first, I thought it was a battery problem, but my friend tried to jump-start the car, it could not start. I called Toyota immediately and they sent a tow truck to tow the car to Toyota of Richardson service center. I got there at about 8:04am and Allen the service guy was really nice. He checked me in and I waited for about an hour which I understood there are other customers too. I later went to the front to check on Allen and he said the gas tank has been damaged and the repairs are worth $1900. I dropped in tears immediately because I know deep there was no accident involved and the only high thing I stepped on was speed bump and it won’t reach the gas tank. I was confused and frustrated at this point. Still is at the moment. Keep in mind, My first car as a first time car buyer was at this same Toyota, which I bought April 11th, 2015 and the service person was Aaron Grimshaw. He was so professional and I had that car for two years with no issues and made my payments on time with no stress. I had that car with peace of mind. I thought I was going to have the service best service at this same location if I return to trade in for a newer model Rav4 2013. I am in a nightmare at this point and all I’m asking is for you all to look into my situation and history with Toyota and have my car replaced or fixed for me to start driving with peace of mind. After being at Toyota car service yesterday at about 1:38pm I met with the manager James who frankly listen to my concerns/cries. He was very compassionate/professional with me and he helped me to get a discount rental car home. He also said he was going to see how he could help me. I felt a bit relieved. I left Toyota of Richardson service center yesterday at about 3:30pm and went to see if I could speak with the car sales person Adam Flores who sold me the care; if he could help me since the bank has already paid them at this point. I walked in and a dark guy came to me professionally and took all my information to present to the director. He came back and said “we cannot help or serve you because you gave us a bad review online during my hop-cap that fell” I said ok, let me take down the review so they can help me, but he mentioned that the director will not listen to him. He said “Ma’am you can leave now because I got other customers to serve”. I walked out of Toyota still frustrated. I thought the reviews are there to help other customers from going through this experience. I was treated nice when the bank had not paid them, but as soon as they got their money, I’m now stalked with a defective car. I spent my whole day with Toyota of Richardson yesterday, with no food and thank God I had someone who helped me pick up my kids from school. I have never been in this situation in my life and hope no one goes through this. I called my insurance, but my deductible is $1500 and I cannot afford to pay that since I have not even receive my first payment nor the plate on this car. This is a 28 days old car and I belief the car was defective from get go. I hope and pray Toyota of Richardson and Toyota Head quarter see into this matter/case and replaced or fixed that car and inspect it by the service department. I have been a loyal customer with Toyota since April 11th of 2015 with no issues until now. As of the moment, I have no car to work and school, and to drop my kids to school. That’s the more reason I got that car for. I just want my card replaced or fixed properly and inspected before we get to the next level. The people I have been dealing with are: Adam Flores was the person who sold me the car Aaron Tunnel was the person who replaced my hop cab, but told me to bring down my review because he got family to feed. H Alan Bostley Great with car service advisor James Holloman the manager was great. He listen to me and said he will help. He was compassionate and has a great team of service guys. I cannot remember the name of the dark guy who told me to leave because he was instructed by the director they could not serve me because of my review. I now called Toyota to check on my car today March 7th and I was told they have pushed the gas tank a to fit and not replaced it hopefully it's going to work properly. I'm very thankful for Mr. James Holloman who was compassionate with his team of service. But I can guarantee that my next car with not be at this location EVER AGAIN..
